Who's 'us' in your case? He's been on loan to a load of clubs. As for his time at Hibs, he's looked quite good, decent defensive game and an eye for a pass. I daresay he'd be able to hold his own in the Championship if he doesn't stay with us.

Prandelli said he's spoken to Icardi about representing Italy rather than Argentina. I think the kid's going to be getting another call soon.

A couple of places are crediting Sansone with Parma's goal against Napoli, either way it's still nice to see yet another young Italian forward breaking through.

It's also worth pointing out Icardi was raised in Barca's youth system and Sansone in Bayern's.

Have you got the 'retain possession' and 'work ball into the box' shouts on? They might be causing the players to keep the ball rather than launching risky balls forward.

Hate the Milan clubs' transfer policy. Never particularly liked Juventus but they've built a very strong team and are always trying to improve, on the other hand Inter and Milan just take the money, run, and go and buy some no-hoper.

Inter's thinking with the Coutinho and Sneijder deals is simply to sell two players (one on massive wages) that don't really fit their 352 formation and use the money to bring in Paulinho who does. Personally I'd have kept both so you've got a few more options if the usual tactic isn't working, but I'm sure they know what they are doing...

Inter's transfers in the 90's/ early 00's were so bad! Milan seemed to get how plusvalenza worked and sold Inter rubbish and as Number1 said, Inter built half of Milan's team for them in return.

Edit: Plusvalenza was a way Italian clubs made their accounts look better. Milan and Inter each sell the other a reserve for €3m. They put the sale in as a €3m lump sum and spread the purchase over 3 years, creating a false profit for the year.

You guys are so well organised. Annoying! Your squad isn't as good as some but being as well drilled as you are, where every player knows their role, can get you far.

Aye, Petko's done a great job with essentially the same group of players Reja had, it'll be interesting to see where he takes us between now and the end of the season.

Go somewhere more interesting. Montenegro is very sophisticated and the Croatian coast is very trendy. Rome/Barcelona are boring.

Have to agree with Franck, Rome is very expensive, though the Croatian islands are well worth a visit, I went to Korcula and Vis with the other half a few years ago.

One of the more sane presidents. His son's been handling most of the day to day running for a while now but dad's always run the club well and resisted the urge to pump in silly money to try and compete with the top sides.

I struggle to revise as well most of the time. When it gets close to exams the pressure/need to do something finally kicks in.

Personally I like going over Problem Sheets and Past Papers. Working through all the questions again from scratch, without looking at how I previously answered them, unless I get stuck. I tend to use the past paper answers to give me a list of key things to know, try and fit all the important stuff onto two sides of A4.

I'm not sure who easy that would be for some subjects, in terms of what questions you have to go over and how similar exams are from year to year. I do Physics, and the exams tend to have a lot of overlap so that works out pretty well.

I find it helps to do something. Like writing notes out, or condensing them onto flash cards and working through questions. Definitely forces you to concentrate more on what your doing and that helps stop you get distracted as easily

Pretty much everything I was going to say after seeing Sears post on the other page. I agree that you really need to do something, if you just sit and read a textbook for a couple of hours as the chances are you're not going to take most of it in. So aye, past papers, old homework assignments/questions, extra study questions etc. I'd also buy study guides that have questions etc for stuff like Physics and Maths, or condense the subject for things like History and Geography.

I'm not sure if any of your mates are in the same situation as you, but it's a lot easier to study with someone there to quiz you etc.

Seems Juve have agreed a 4 year contract with Llorente worth €4.5m a year. He'll be joining in the summer which explains them scrabbling around for a short term solution like Drogba or Lisandro Lopez on loan. Also, Galliani is meant to be flying out to Spain next week to agree some sort of loan deal for Kaka.

Hopefully for Lazio as well. By all accounts the evidence against Mauri, and by extension the club as a whole was less concrete than that against Napoli. The main witness against Mauri was roundly discredited the other week but now it seems their trying to get an extension to continue the investigation until the end of the season.

You can imagine how it'll all kick off if we managed to finally snag a CL spot then lost it after copping a -5 points penalty.

No chance, he'd cost £50m+

Aye, his release clause is something like £54m or £52m and after losing Lavezzi in the summer I doubt they'll sell unless that's met. Then there's the wages he'll be after...

Can't say I'm happy with Lazio getting themselves relegated in the first season but I have to admit, you're doing a great job with the other lot, especially the way your building the team.

Just out of interest, how are your finances doing? I saw something over on the SI forums that said a pension rate or something for Italy was set twice as high as it should have been and in a longer game it played havoc with the finances of Italian sides.

Fiorentina have had their stadium plans approved - link

In less positive news, for me anyway, the Italian media have decided to start going on about how Lazio could be hit with a 5 point penalty if Stefano Mauri is proven to have been part of two suspicious Lazio games.
This is the same branch of the investigation that saw Napoli hit with a 2 point penalty and Cannavaro/Grava banned. It's been going on for months now and the Mauri stuff started with his arrest in the summer so it's a little strange they decided to start going on about it when Lazio are doing so well.

Think a lot of people were thrown off yesterday when Bayern came out and said they were only talking to Jupp, and then Pep said he wants to manage in England at some time.

BBC Sport had a story about that earlier today, not surprisingly they've had to take it down.

Tough game against Atalanta, we missed Gonzalez in the first half and the midfield really struggled to keep the ball or do anything with it. Floccari and Cana came on at ht and really changed things, we had two or three good chances before Floccari's goal and could have have another one or two before Brivio put it past his keeper for our second.

Just three points off Juve, 10 clear of Roma and unbeaten in our last 14 games.

Almost forgot, Sau got another goal for Cagliari today. He really impressed me when we played them the other week and looks like he could do a job for a much bigger side. If we can somehow flog Zarate to someone I'd love to see Sau replace him.

The bit about the Welsh sides in nonsense, when clubs like Cardiff, Wrexham and Swansea were founded they were the only Welsh sides. Playing in England was the only logical choice as the rest of the country had little interest in the game.

That was kinda my point, while clubs playing in other countries may be more common than most people were aware of, Rangers situation within the Scottish game is totally different to them.

I doubt any of them were as big in their former home as Rangers are, or are as large as Rangers full stop.
