I could get used to these Friday night games, 4-0 away at Motherwell

The scoreline flatters us a bit though, two of our goals were penalties and the 4th was in injury time. Motherwell had a penalty themselves which they missed and had a good goal chalked off.

Napoli were charged because former keeper Matteo Gianello tried to fix the game with Samp in 2010 and Grava and Cannavaro have been charged with being aware of and not reporting what their keeper was up to, same thing as Conte at Siena. They also appear to have refused to join him in trying to fix the match.

Finished 1-1 in both group games. I'd have been happy enough with a draw before the game but it was a bit of a shame to concede so late. Still top of the group, that's the main thing.

I found it easy enough

Justicar's right though, these books are tough at the beginning then you get used to the words and phrases. I remember having the same problem with Clockwork Orange.

16 Argentinians featured in tonight's Serie A game Inter V Catania.

Aye, Catania's been a dumping ground for average Argentinian players for years now. They meet up with Inter's contingent and go to Zanetti's resturant after the game when in Milan.

Jeeze, we don't make things easy for ourselves do we? To be fair Milan were a lot better after the break. Hopefully Allegri has the balls to drop KPB and the sense to use a system that gives Pazzini proper service.

They just need to sort out that defense. No side with the likes of Zapata, Acerbi and even Mexes should be starting the likes of Bonera and Yepes. Not sure why Antonini was picked ahead of Di Sciglio either, the kid's been one of their best players this season.

3-2 now, and that second for Milan's been coming. Good game for the neutrals this, both defenses have been absolutely dreadful.

Edit: Good to see Brocchi coming on. It was 50/50 in the summer whether his career could be over in the with all his injury issues.

So far so good. Excellent goal from Hernanes and as for Candreva, he takes so many of those long shots that one's bound to go in every now and then. I think he had 7 against Pescara and never even hit the target. Still a long way to go though so hopefully I won't regret staying in to watch this.

Shame Napoli couldn't win earlier but it was the same old story with them, good Plan A but no Plan B so when Juve got the subs on and changed things a bit they couldn't react. If they had an intelligent coach they'd be a very dangerous side.

Before you ask:
Due to the mods here STILL not having me deleted, I was surprisingly able to log into the forum STILL. (Please mods have me deleted ASAP!!!)

Just one word OT because I was laughing my ass off this comment by hibbee.

Nothing has happened at all.
This was a comedy game which put it apart from the usually boring qualifiying games and I really enjoyed watching it, having in mind that this happens once in 20 years and germany will qualify anyway as group winner. sweden will probably get 2nd place.
So everyone here laughing at and ridiculing the german team: sure you can do it for now because it was a really really funny game but dont expect this to happen ever again in your lifetime.
it was a qualifying match. who cares? I surely dont.

So. That should REALLY be my LAST post here now. (its not MY fault if the mods havent deleted me yet )

That answers that then. Fair enough that you were still able to enjoy the game, I certainly wasn't when Hibs did something similar a few years ago and threw away a 6-2 lead and ended up drawing 6-6. Like your game I'll probably never see us blow a lead like that again, but it certainly wasn't fun to watch at the time.

I think it's more likely to be the local authorities footing the bill for the improvements to the grounds. On the back of reading that piece I had a look at the current Serie B sides and quite a few are already working to bring their grounds up to Serie B standard so they can use them. None own their grounds either so I'm not sure what (if anything) it's costing them to do so.
With that in mind I don't see the rule really affecting things too much. Ambitious clubs willing to improve their infrastructure like Cesena or Novara a few years ago won't be affected nor will sides with decent grounds/support who'll benefit the league by getting promoted. The only one's that will suffer are tiny clubs who manage to get into B via the playoff's or a one off season where everything clicks.

Aye, their so much better than the last time we were in a group with them, shame we're as sh*t as ever. Still, we had a few drinking games in the pub, Belgian chances, Scotland mistakes, shot of Levein looking sad etc that kept spirits up.

Shame Ede's been scared off, I would have liked to see his reaction to the Germans sh*tting the bed tonight and throwing away a 4-0 lead. From a Laziali point of view nice to see Klose getting another couple of goals, now just 1 shy of Mullers record.

Aye, good to see Italy winning a potentially difficult game and Northern Ireland 1 up. The Scotland game wasn't up to much, we held out as long as we could and Belgium deserved the win.

Probably, but I don't see them ever having a Serie A standard ground in their town. The local authority isn't going to build a stadium half the population can fit in and it doesn't make sense for the club to bankrupt themselves building something that's only going to be needed for a 12/24 month stay in the top flight.

On the other hand, it makes sense for clubs to have grounds that meet the lower standards for Serie B and not being allowed to take the easy way and using a nearby stadium for year after year.

Aye, it's going to be weird if their promoted. As far as I know the rule won't apply to Serie A so they'll still be using Modena's ground. Given they averaged 3k crowds last year and anything above that was the Derby with Modena (10k) or caused by away fans filling their section, we're going to be in for some quiet games in 2013/14.

On the other had, if their relegated (fairly good chance) and this ruling comes into force, they'll have to do up the Enzo Ricci a bit, bring the capacity up to 7k or 8k, whatever the minimum is. It also means their fans won't have to travel into Modena every fortnight. Hopefully having the team on their doorsteps will help boost crowds a bit. It can't be fun when every 'home' game is a trip to your biggest rivals.

Read earlier that the Lega is looking to introduce a rule stating that clubs looking to get promoted to Serie B must have stadia in their towns that meet the minimum regulations for the second tier (whatever they are...).

This would mean the end of sides like AlbinoLeffe playing in Bergamo, Sassuolo playing in Modena and Virtus Lanciano playing in Pescara.

Yep, mine dropped around lunchtime. I don't think it's as widespread as back in July but it's still affecting people throughout the UK.

The stories have been bouncing around for a week or so but it looks official now, Giuseppe Sculli has been banned for a month and fined 30k because not only did he know about the protests at the Genoa v Siena game in advance, he'd agreed to speak to the Ultra during the game and look like the hero.

Back on topic and the last thing I bought was a couple of t-shirts from redbubble, neither for me sadly.
