One of the Italian papers is certain Max Allegri's going to be managing Spurs next season, their strange prediction continued the next day saying Davide Astori and Ale Matri were top of his shopping list...

Aye, a couple of guys I know made the trip to the dark side of the town yesterday and said it was up there with that cup final and the Malmo game as the worst performance they've ever seen from a Hibs side. Can't say Butcher's really helping things, slating the players then making 5/6 changes after each game then slating them again when they lose isn't exactly going to inspire them.

The way we're going we could have the Edinburgh Derby next season after all...

Being stuck in traffic in a manual is no different to every other aspect of driving one, I barely notice what I'm doing in traffic jams these days, it's all second nature.
If you're a poor or unconfident driver I can understand why an automatic would seem a better option but the more you drive a manual the easier it gets, tbh if you're going to do something, do it properly.
If you've just been using an automatic I can understand why you'd hate traffic jams in a manual - automatic's are so easy to drive, you can be doing just about anything and still get around!
Edit: Happy Slashman? Happy, happy happy?

There were a few of them, their job's to coordinate and lead the chants and no doubt they'll do the same week in, week out in the league. I'm sure they see missing most of the game as being part of the role they played. I can't be bothered looking it up bit either In Bed With Maradona or The Blizzard had an interview with a Dortmund fan who led their chants.
Edit: pretty sure it was IBWM now I think about it, may have been in the Subculture section...

Dunno about the rest but we actually tried. Ludogrets aren't a bad side, they won a group containing PSV and Dinamo Zagreb without losing a game. We were dreadful in Italy and deserved to lose but tonight we were much better than them but conceded 3 laughable goals, the whole ball didn't cross the line on the second...

It's never a great match for the neutral fan, the pressure in Rome is unlike anything in Italy and most cities in Europe, the total media saturation, fan involvement etc make it a nightmare for the players, the fact a guy with Klose's experience took a day off to get out the city says it all really.
Yesterday was especially bad, first draw in 6 years and first 0-0 in almost 25. We didn't even have any fights or red cards! Reja wanted a draw and got just that. Personally we more than matched Roma in the first half and really should have pushed on after the break rather than sitting back, gifting them the ball and hoping for the best.
Oh aye, Pogba's just about to sign a new deal which takes his wages up to €4m or so per year till 2018. If Juve do sell it'll be on their terms and I can only see the likes of Real and PSG stumping up the €70m asking price.

From a personal point of view the move makes sense, he'll triple his wages and his wife's parents are Chinese so it's not like he's moving to a totally random country, they probably had plans to live there sometime and this chance came up when Biabany's move to Guangzhou Evergrande broke down.

For those that don't know Cellino's the nutjob that owns Cagliari. In the last couple of seasons he's illegally built a stadium, spent time in jail as a result and sent his team to play in Trieste, pretty much as far from Cagliari as it's possible to get without leaving Italy.

Between €15m and €20m, it differs from source to source but taking away the add-on's it's looking like €16m.
He had 18 months left on his contract and kept saying he wanted to wait till after the World Cup before deciding his future, by then we'd have been lucky to get more than €7m/€8m so we kinda had to sell now.

That's the most frustrating thing, he cracks off a goal every few games and does have good matches here and there but he's never been able to maintain a consistant level week in week out.

Interesting how people who see the odd Hernanes game here and there or just read stats seem to rate him. After watching him week in week out since he signed I can confidently say he's been poor for over a year now and his often spectacular goals cover the fact he really doesn't do much most of the time.
I'm interested to see how he gets on at Inter. With Lazio he was the creative hub of the midfield and wasn't nearly up to the task, with the Brazilian national side he had much better players around him so kept things simple, retaining possession, moving into space and drifting forward when needed.
As for the Klose deal, it was never on. There's been nothing in the Italian media and given the saturation in Rome if there had been a grain of truth they'd have picked up on it.

Have you read Last Exit to Brooklyn Franck? If you like Irvine Welsh's stuff it's worth a try, Hubert Selby was a massive influence on Welsh, especially when he was writing Trainspotting.

He's good on his day but not really up to playing week in week out. He'd be an ideal stop-gap for you guys till summer.
Over the last couple of days we've sold Sergio Floccari to Sassuolo and brought in the remains of Helder Postiga on loan. Now a lot of Lazio fans are worried that Postiga's a replacement for Klose and our young forwards will get more playing time with Floccari gone.
Personally I can't see it happening, Postiga's already played in the Europa League and apart from Klose our forwards are 20 and 18. Plus, it looks like Hernanes is off to Inter, on the back of which 500 fans decended on the training ground to thank him and see him off (he was in tears by the end) then they demanded a meeting with Igli Tare, our sporting director. If Klose left too I'd hate to think what they'd do...

Personally I find it sad they took the easy way out, instead of confronting the absurd power ultra have in the south they punished a club that clearly didn't know what to do for the best or who to go to for help.
#137905 Transfer Rumours 2013/14

Aye, they had a golden opportunity to rebuild with the Ibra/Silva money but blew it on mediocre players on huge wages, I mean Mexes on €4m a year... Still, Seedorf seems determined to clear out Allegri's rubbish like Constant, Muntari, Nocerino etc and in addition to short term fixes like Taaarabt and Essien their reportedly close to signing Jonathan Biabiany, a right-winger who'll really add something to their midfield.
