Don't condescend me when your moderating has a lot to be desired.

Did he provide this website as proof? No. Did it take long to find? No. Why didn't he use a better source then?! Have you completely missed the point? Yes.

Don't bother replying I'll message Cymro (again)

Official sources from the club or trusted news agencies (i.e. BBC) A website which dumps info. like transfermarkt or footballdatabase.eu aren't at all accurate. There's loads of info. on transfermarkt which isn't correct about my own team! It's lazy using them. I've made it clear before they shouldn't be used and I made it clear before I became a mod. I wouldn't.

Like I've already said, official sources only please. Transfermarkt isn't 100% accurate (not even close)

Couldn't find anything on wage or contract details so used common sense, by all means amend if anyone can find anything more concrete.

The English translation for this one (https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fbombardir.ru%2Fnews%2F498283) states the deal is close but that there has been interest from elsewhere. Enough to cause ambiguity. I'm inclined to keep it open until confirmed.

I translated the proof (https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fbombardir.ru%2Fnews%2F498287)

It states for me that Zenit have the option to buy him back, no mention of a loan as suggested. I'm unsure if anything has been lost in translation but at the moment I'm not comfortable approving it.

(if it is indeed a transfer with buy back option, proof of a future fee would be appreciated if at all possible, may be difficult)

Both said Ireland pre-1922 and there is no mention of Waterford 'United' in the post, it was always Waterford FC, which is why I opted for that one.

Further supports my point our submissions shouldn't automatically be approved though, ha.

Added wage contribution. Fair to assume, given the similar reputations of both teams, that York would pay all his wages.

This site looks a lot like Transfermarkt, I've only approved it due to my own difficulties in finding more info. on this transfer via searching (partly due to the language barrier) In future again I would recommend using more official sources . Also please provide contract details, I've have to add them myself, adding to the work. These kind of submissions may be rejected in future.

Please provide 'official' proof. I won't be approving any amendments which use transfermarkt or footballdatabase.eu. These sites are wholly unreliable. I recommend only to use these sites as guides to prompt further investigation. It should be easy to find by googling the player and his new team (and contract info. if relevant) It takes a matter of moments so no excuses.

I can't sort it myself so can someone else please?

He's down as player/assistant manager at Whitehawk when he's manager of Rockdale, a team in Oceania.

The staff file needs updating not the player one (I can't edit player-staffs)

Yet again using this poor source which provides limited info. at best, is leading you into problems, I can only assume the contract details have been guessed...

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/former-hearts-rangers-midfielder-ian-9843628

It's a short-term deal until the end of the season and I would doubt a mid-table/outside shot at play-offs, team in League Two is offering £2k a week (unless it's Portsmouth) Logically I'd say halving it is more appropriate.

There's a mistake with this one as he still comes up as player/assistant manager for Whitehawk (wrong Paul Reid) The staff file is incorrect and needs adjusting (my edits only seem to get translated within the player's file)

Whoa where's this come from?! The proof doesn't work and so far it's only been 'paper talk' in England only because there's talk Liverpool are prepared to meet £50K demands and Chelsea aren't but it's far from a done deal! Bayern are still being linked too.

Well you engage and take responsibility unlike the others who don't say anything (even re. their mistakes) so it's unsurprising if you are mistaken for leading. Again though why chase up other people's submissions if incomplete that's similar to what I just said.

Anyway please, please, please only use transfermarkt, footballdatabase and even soccerway sometimes as guides only (to all of you)

You could clearly do with some more help. A lot of it could be avoided though and in turn help with the issues. If it's that bad you/your helpers should just approve and not submit. Reduces the pressure/work on you. Then there won't be people approving their own submissions, so that problem would be sorted too (I think this is a problem and where most of the errors happen) Whilst I certainly wouldn't expect you to search for sources for other people's submissions. If the source isn't good enough, just reject, end of your responsibility and quick. It sounds like 'you'/your helpers are doing too much and this is creating some of the problems.

@Sir Tavares

This is a good example of what I mean, this took me 10secs to find, even using translator. If I can find sources like this in a Scandinavian language then you should be able to find most transfers without using the websites I've highlighted.

Thanks, it's very rare that non-league players in England sign more than one year contracts (most aren't even on contracts) Especially someone who's been away on loan and/or are in Vanarama Conference North/South.

At least one person can engage in a sensible manner but you don't really answer what I'm saying...

A few questions.

Why can't you approve each others submissions? Surely you appreciate the level of due diligence is significantly reduced when people approve their own submissions. People should be more vigilant with each other's submissions. The approval process is pointless as it stands, why have it if you can approve your own?!

Why do you expect one or two website to detail every transfer? Why don't you use footballdatabase.eu/transfermarkt as a guide? There's no websites which exist with every transfer accurately detailed, that's unrealistic and none of you should expect it, this is part of the increasing culture of laziness I allude to. There's no need when you can google the player's name and 'new club' and find greater detail. Takes seconds most of the time (I know because I've spent a month working on my own database) Some might take a couple of minutes but I would question the effectiveness of the search terms if it's taking longer. If the transfer is hard to find then that should raise questions itself. Whilst if it reduces the block of submissions someone submits and approves then I don't view that as a bad thing as I highly suspect the longer the lists submitted by one person the longer the number of errors. It might mean things get added a day or so later but again that's not a bad thing if the accuracy is improved.

It's not like there are only two options, what you suggest above or reliance on footballdatabase.eu, there's other options which you either ignore or dismiss! These updates used to be much better when they worked closer to how I detail above so you/they have shown in the past that things can be better without expecting 1/2 websites for everything.

Everything seems to be geared corner cutting these days.

Thanks

Pathetic, childish response. With that kind of attitude the processes will never improve. This has been going down-hill for a while accepting such poor sources and people approving their own submissions. It used to be much better here, now it's very lazy. Footballdatabase.eu and transfermarkt are POOR sources and extremely unreliable.

Take the criticism constructively rather than like a child (if you actually matter, you're probably a non-bod like me) If they publicly provide downloads then they must be open to criticism as they effect other people's games! I don't cry when people offer constructive criticism of the downloads I provide publicly (I make skins) In fact I expect it, I welcome it. I can just as easily say if they don't like my criticisms then they shouldn't make it accessible to the public but then I'm not a child. I want them to improve what they're doing. If you've got nothing constructive to say don't bother.

He's only on loan until 13th February. He's definitely not joined on a permanent transfer. Another F up going purely by footballdatabase which I've said before, more than once, is extremely unreliable. Nor does it differentiate loans on the player pages (the transfer page sometimes does but again it's unreliable) I really wish you wouldn't rely on this website as proof. It's really lazy submitting and really lazy approving basic info like this.

http://whitehawkfc.com/player/connor-tighe/

http://uk.soccerway.com/players/connor-tighe/429181/

Both sources state he's only on loan

It's a loan deal initially, again it even says so in the provided proof. It will impact budgets. Like Caldwell another one which has been added incorrectly.
