Every functioning data update with any sort of popularity simply does this summers transfers etc but requires you to start the game the year before because that is simply when the base game is coded to start from, this has always been the case and I've been making updates since CM03/04, the features Rob has added which makes players a year older etc is the closest I've seen an update be able to replicate starting this year inside the barriers of the game.

its just having all the teams in right leagues and right teams in european competitions with the update

its so frustrating this update needs so many staff changes and players but the other one on this you cant start in 2017 as all players will transfer and loans will be terminated need to get both databases combined

you dont use real results etc with this as those results are for last season 16/17some of those teams have been relegated etc etc

you will be playing 17/18 but in 2016

as cymro says you can mix and match you could use the current squads with the real results but dont see the point with that using 17/18 squads to play 16/17 fixtures

yeah exactly is it really that hard to make a database in which all the players transfered would be like in real life and could use the real fixtures and that

this how the update is done here it always starts on the base start date ie 2016 for FM17...you dont use the custom start date with this

so in theory you are playing the 17/18 season from the start

there is an update over at SI forums with the transfers for 17/18 real results etc but it has lots of issuesand is nothing the one here

hello guys when you download the new file players like mbappe are on loan straight away and then signs permanent on 1/7/2017 when should be 1/7/2018 and same with Naby Keita joins liverpool in summer of 2017 when should be 2018. Also all loans are then terminated once hit 2017 because i am starting my season by using the custom date and starting in the end of may

Players you are transfering should be transfered on the 1/7/2017 for example instead of just putting the players onto the team stright away and dont come up on the transfer history for that year then ?
