@Tajerio and @Zen_nataraj , I must say that apart from the 1712 patch released a couple of weeks back, the Brazil kits and licensing2 files were not re-created again. So if you had to delete them, then I think that means they were never deleted in the first place, which is where the issue may be found.

It's a bit hard for me to accurately pinpoint what's wrong as my older save games are all fine. Not sure if it's something you may be inadvertently doing wrong, or if it's a bug from SI.

You are very probably right. Well, I want to restart the save and try some new things anyway, so I'm not overly fussed about it. Could have sworn I'd seen all the right names earlier for Brazil and breathed a sigh of relief though, but there it is.

I'm sorry but I don't know what else you can do. The files which change the Brazilian club names are the ones I referred to; if they're not there, then I don't know what and how they are being changed.

You just need to find the folder in which the game is installed. Sorry I'm not of much help, but I have a PC so can't be of much assistance.

I'm having the same problem that Zen_narataj is having. Didn't have the issue until after the recent tiny update, but now all my Brazilian club names are back to the three-letter versions. Went through and deleted the Brazil kits and licensing2 files, but that hasn't made a difference for the saved game. Starting a new game it's fine though.
