The World Cup squad got announced with grey players. However, it's been a while since I managed an international team but I suspect that in one of the latest versions, a pre-tournament shortlist of up to 30 players is chosen, from which you cannot deviate. I suspect you applied the patch at this stage and that therefore only the grey players could be chosen.

To test this assumption, I left the game on holiday till the next Germany game.

Lo and behold, real players were called up, as per the attached screenshot

They contain the game's database, you really should not delete them

Everything looks fine. I'm at a loss why it doesn't work in your save game.

Can you send me the save and I'll holiday until the next call-up? This will help determine whether it's an issue with the save or, somehow, with your set-up. Although I can't find see anything wrong there tbh...

Looks like you haven't installed it correctly then, I'm afraid.

Can you make sure that all 4 lnc and edt/permanent folders look exactly as the screenshots in the main post please?
