As bad as they are, they could still quite conceivably make the play offs and therefore have a chance to qualify.

In the previous qualifying system they'd be dead and buried by now.

Now to get the job done against Gibraltar.

Only 1-0 at HT - you're in no danger of not winning though, I'm sure!

Northern Ireland could do with winning against the Faroes, they've got a great chance of qualifying but would still be best to avoid any slip ups.

Keep forgetting about third being a play-off place! Not all hope lost for them then.

Aye, Holland are fecked. If they don't beat Turkey away next then that'd pretty much be it I reckon.

I think the rules will be changed when clubs as big as Madrid and United are involved. It'll still go through I reckon.

Just seen a few rumours linking Callum Wilson with a 15m move to Arsenal.

I get the feeling there'll be plenty more crazy rumours like that tomorrow.

Brilliant result

Hanging on a bit last couple of minutes but it was a well deserved win. 4 points ahead of Juve already!

How do you think that'll go BR??

I think it'll be a dull, low on quality 0-0 with both teams showing why they'll be right down there come the end of the season. Both managers scared to take a risk until the last 10 minutes.

I may have only just posted that now, but it's almost exactly what I'd have replied if I saw your message before the game haha!

I think it was a little bit harsh actually. Would have given him a yellow and told him to keep a lid on it.

If a Championship relegation six-pointer (possibly not six-pointer in August, but still an important game) between two sides who were both top 7/8 Premier League sides only a few years ago is your thing, then Rovers v Bolton is on TV tonight.

The De Bruyne fee is actually insane if these reports turn out to be true.

It is indeed insane.

Bring back the days when Zidane was the record transfer for almost 10 years. Now very good (not world class) players are going for more than Zizou himself.

Lost 1-4 versus Leicester. Cannot complain about the performance though. Gave it a real ago especially in the second half where came back from 0-2 to make it 1-2 and had a goal ruled out for offside but in the end the better team won 4-1. Their young debutant Dodoo was fantastic and so was their midfield powerhouse N'Golo Kanté. Only downside is that I'd loved to play West Ham but didn't make it. But league has always been the priority so no hard feelings

You weren't one of those kicking off and throwing bottles at that Leicester player were you?

So unlucky from McManaman a few mins ago. Hopefully they have a couple more chances like that before the end.

For those who like a bet, a few quid on us to go down next season might be worth a flutter.

You should still be able to get a decent price on this with only 4 games gone, but hurry!

Stuck with Rooney as my FPL captain all this while, should've known that United scum can't be trusted.

I gave him one last chance today too, but yeah, might be time to take him out.

If Wijnaldum (I think) had kept going then at the back stick, he'd have had a tap in! Good break though.

Good result that. How's MGP doing? Saw he was an unused sub tonight.

Southampton could quite conceivably go out next week. Wouldn't be great having them and West Ham already out before the group stage!

Palace look so vulnerable at home. Most home defeats in the league last season too.

Well, 1-1 now haha!

I've started to recently actually, seen a few experiments mainly by Golden FM and a couple of others. They're surprisingly really interesting to watch!

Wonder if West Ham fans were singing 'Are you watching Allardyce?' today then? Numpties.

Good win for Leicester though and excellent start for Ranieri. Hope they continue to do well under him. Great away wins for Everton and Norwich too. Sunderland look poor and, speaking of Big Sam, wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up there around Christmas time.

Sounds like we've finally bid for O'Sullivan. Blackburn have Jobi McAnuff on trial too? 2+2=5?
.

If we sign a 33 year-old who ended the season on Leyton Orient's bench and sell O'Sullivan.....then there'll be even more unhappy people. I can't see us signing him to be honest, but O'Sullivan could still leave.

Thought Rudy might have got a start, he'd have more than fancied his chances of bagging one up against Blind, Smalling and a keeper who's new to the league.
