So unlucky for Oxlade-Chamberlain missing a World Cup and in all likelihood a Champions League final. Hopefully he still gets the chance to play in both in the future.

Happy Roma got the two late goals to keep the tie just about alive but before then it was an absolute nightmare, the high line was a disaster. Worked against Barca but they can't get in behind like Liverpool and it's odd Di Francesco didn't know that or at least didn't change it at HT.

And did us a favour in the process, Peterborough basically out of the running for a playoff place now.

Yep, wouldn't be surprised if a team like Plymouth go up via the playoffs, if you can get in there. Shrewsbury are out of form, Rotherham have been hit and miss, it's anyone's game.

Well done Newcastle, looking like a great end to the season for you.

Can't believe Arsenal have only won 3 away games all season that is dreadful.

Bottom three starting to get cut adrift now. Southampton have improved under Hughesy - mainly going forward - but you can't be throwing away a two goal lead.

My Uncle is a season ticket holder at Liverpool but doubt there'll be any tickets going spare on such an occasion forza Roma!

This genuinely might be the first time I've felt confident enough to say we'll be staying up.

Not that I can boast that quickly, given we're not over the line just yet, but I think the ball's in our court to wrap this up.

You should be absolutely fine now. Stoke, Southampton and Huddersfield are struggling, two from those three I'd say. I know Palace are only two points above the drop zone but they should be fine..

Agreed, it's Juve's now.

I had hoped this would be the year that they didn't win it, but always had that feeling that they'd prevail. They've still got Napoli to play at home yet too.

For a club who is known as a great spotter of talent why the hell haven't Southampton solved their striker problem in the summer, every season they seem to buy a striker in January and hope he hits the ground running, they got lucky last year with Gabbiadini but its well and truly backfired this year

Aye, they really are awful and dire to watch too. Somehow they're not in the relegation zone (5 wins all season!) but their upcoming fixtures look tough so they could well be soon.

Still fancy Palace to get out of it. I thought they were virtually safe not long ago but there seems to be some life in them at least which is more you can say for Southampton.

Mystery how we didn't win. Credit to Swansea - sitting ten back and keeping shape and not allowing an inch of space in the danger zone takes discipline and concentration. And when we did manage to get through them, Fabianski was in fine form. Some save from Mounié's thunderbastard of a volley.

As for the Ayew challenge - lucky he didn't break Hogg's leg. I've seen it again and it's an absolute shocker. Loses the ball, goes chasing, jumps in and goes studs-first into Hogg's knee. Quite how Carvalhal thinks it's appealable is beyond me. It's a terrible tackle.

30 shots to 0 was it? Crazy stuff.

Two extra points today would have been most welcome for you but you must be pleased that there's at least three teams looking worse than you right now......definitely West Brom, West Ham and Southampton, and even Stoke, while steadying the ship a bit, aren't picking up any wins.

Sevilla 0-0 Utd. Should have seen that coming really.....

Disappointing for Roma to lose after leading at HT, not a surprise though unfortunately.

Was surprised by Juve's approach and how poor they were on Tuesday. After going 2-0 up they could barely string two passes together, for the rest of the first half especially. And yet they had the chance to go 3-1 up right on HT....

I had Juve down as favourites as I thought they'd just have a bit too much know-how for Spurs, but after watching that on Tuesday - and the score obviously - I'm expecting Spurs to go through to be honest.

Aye bmg033, don't know how Neymar didn't get sent off, how could the ref blow for a dive and not book him....bottled it as you say. 3-1 up, Madrid should have few problems going through now.

3-0 Chelsea it finished, West Brom starting to be cut adrift a bit....3 wins all season, 2 of which were in August, is unbelievably bad.

If Conte leaves the cycle will just start again....new manager, success, crisis, sacked, new manager, etc.

I would say this needs to change, but despite all the managers they've got through they've still won a lot of trophies..

Christ Chelsea are bad at the moment.

Spurs were completely dominant against United. Fellaini got subbed a few minutes after he came on, not sure if he was injured.....

Still as tight as ever in the bottom half, mainly because they all seem to draw with each other and generally seem incapable of winning.

Figures.

Didn't know that. He'd have been good for you.

Think you'll be able to stay up if you don't sign anyone else? Could you see Rafa walking out?

£75m. Frightening.

Plenty of money for Southampton there but they look dire under Pellegrino so they'll have to spend it well to look a decent team all of a sudden.

Great for the neutral - but you can see why both sides will be battling for top 4 rather than being any higher.

Referee's are so inconsistent, same ref who gave Everton their penalty last week and gives nothing when Rose pushes Mangala in the box, was way worse than the Lovren one as well

Yeah that should have been given today.

4-1 for City in the end.

I'll always be a big Hughes fan after his superb work for Rovers, but it'd best for him and Stoke to part ways now. Only going one way.
