Any of you students in the UK paid for dentist before? I thought if you're in full time education you're meant to get it for free?

You only get it a bit cheaper if you're a full-time student. It's free up until 18 I think but after that you need to pay.

Extremely poor few days for Liverpool but the complete opposite for Hull, two huge wins and two clean sheets as well.

Strikers normally are somewhat replaceable.

Watford went from Vydra to Deeney to Ighalo being red hot.
Ipswich from McGoldrick to Murphy
Newcastle from Carroll to Best to Ba to Cisse to Ba to Remy to Cisse.

I'm sure Scott McDonald or Leigh Griffiths or Noel Hunt will score 20 next year.....

You're probably right, but we're still under a transfer embargo! Although not sure if that'll change or not if/when Rhodes and Gestede leave.

Congratulations to Bournemouth and Howe, incredible achievement.

7 defeats in a row and still Carver praises their effort. Fuck off.

Thought that too. How he could praise their effort and come out with embarrassing things such as 'they kept going until the end' when they were all just halfheartedly wandering around for Swansea's third goal is anyone's guess...It even wound me up hearing that haha.

Burnley going straight back down and sinking without trace yet again

Fair play to Leicester though, 4 wins on the spin is a great achievement for any team in the league, never mind one down the bottom at the business end of the season.

My impression of Blackburn was of an average side who would be in the bottom third of the table without the two strikers.

That's exactly what we are. The fact that we've finished 9th with Rhodes and Gestede in the team is absolutely criminal, and makes me wonder if we can only come 9th when we do have them, next season will be frightening when we'll probably be without them both.

We pretty much sent Millwall down last night thanks to Rhodes and Rudy, to the delight of many - a lot of fans of other teams were thanking us on Twitter, and not only Rotherham/Brighton etc who are down near the bottom with Millwall.

If Rhodes and Gestede leave in summer though, I fear for us next season. They've got 39 goals between them, only Deeney and Ighalo have been a better partnership, and yet we're still a million miles away from even the play offs, never mind promotion.

Also that 47,200+ attendance figure is way higher than what looked like actually being there.

Thought that too, no way was there over 47,000 there.

Silva isn't in the same league Ozil at all. I'm sorry this opinion is outside of your usual hugbox but while Silva is good he is not at Ozil's level

^ Away games only! Still poor though.

Funnily enough it was at Ewood, 3-2, in the middle of when we looked like we were throwing the title away.

Great wins for Villa and Leicester. Villa will stay up while Leicester are giving themselves a chance, though they need a few more heroic performances like today yet. Amazed at West Brom conceding 7 in two home games v QPR and Leicester, most unlike a Pulis team. Although I do remember his Stoke teams tailing off towards the end of almost every PL season once safety had been virtually secured.

Hull are in trouble and have a tough run-in. Sunderland are awful but credit to Palace.

I think (and hope) Burnley will lose today but they can at least say they're in with a chance of staying up despite having spent pretty much nothing, unlike Hull, Sunderland and QPR who have spent wasted loads yet are just as dire as beforehand.

Would have loved to see more of Ronaldo at his peak, unfortunately injuries in the late 90's/very early 00's while at Inter slowed him down massively. He was still quick afterwards and obviously the technical side of his game remained, but by all accounts he was absolutely electric before those knee injuries.

Brazil Ronaldo played in a different era when pure strikers were the zenith.

That's true.

Ronaldo, Batistuta, etc, absolute monsters. Players like Shearer, Christian Vieri too. Paddy Kluivert, Crespo, Salas. What an era, wish I could have seen more of them, the current game needs more proper strikers.

Huge game tonight, been looking forward to it ever since the final whistle went at Anfield.

A lot will be made of Liverpool missing Gerrard, Skrtel and Can but we're far worse off in terms of players unavailable. If Gestede and King don't make it then it'll be extremely difficult. If they do, then game on.

Come on Rovers!

Gutted that O'Sullivan is back off to Blackburn. The lad has been brilliant and seems to be enjoying it here. Hopefully he'll be back.

He may as well stay with you, we had two younger players on the bench today but Bowyer didn't dare use them. Something desperately needed to change and we had one sub remaining, he should have just thrown one of them on and they'd have put twice as much effort in as some of those that were on the pitch.

But back to O'Sullivan haha, yeah, he should stay with you to keep playing every week.

What would say had more of an effect on them, being taken apart by Bayern or being humiliated by City?

Bayern must have seriously knocked the stuffing out of them, although that said victories did continue after that for a month a so but there have been zero home wins since November (so before the City game). Which is extremely dire, and the next home game isn't until April either against Napoli so things won't be changing any time soon.

What's actually wrong at Roma?

Awful player recruitment and panic buys that haven't worked so far, predictable play at walking pace, getting rid of Destro appears to be a mistake as recent line ups haven't even consisted of an actual striker, players like De Sanctis and Gervinho haven't performed as well as last season.

What the hell is happening at Roma?

2nd in the League ffs, chill

From the outside looking in, it wouldn't appear that a lot is wrong.

However, I've been watching/following Roma for over 10 years now and this is the first time I've ever seen the Curva Sud become completely empty halfway through a match. Speaks volumes about the current situation.

2nd will soon be 6th too in a couple of weeks if current form continues.

Roma's last win (inside 90 minutes) came on January 6th, away to Udinese, apparently.

In the league, 2-1 at Cagliari in early Feb, overall 2-1 at Feyenoord a few weeks ago.

Doesn't change anything though, absolutely pathetic 'performance' just like the majority of the last few months. No home win since November. Garcia's gonna be gone soon at this rate although the players have to take massive responsibility as well.

That Newcastle starting line-up was absolutely frightening. They really need a good appointment in summer, someone who can come in and shake the club up and give some some hope to the fans who deserve so much better.

If they appoint Carver then desperate times are ahead....

Apparently Nigel Pearson's been involved in another "being a twat" moment. According to a fella on another forum (I can't be arsed to even Google if there's a reported source) Pearson took offence to a journo's question about Leicester's players trying to get a Hull player sent off, told him basically his opinion didn't count because he had only seen them play a handful of times, then called him a "fucking prick" after the interview whilst he was still mic'd up.
