"Burnley's a shithole, I wanna go home"

That chant is as cringeworthy now as it was in like 2011 when it began.

Although in this case it is very accurate.

Good player, even if he's not prolific, but crazy price.

I suppose teams will start increasing asking prices when Southampton come calling.

Well that was embrassing. Really shocking. Can't understandwhy we didn't bring Rhodes on either

Terrible!! Shocking as you say. We can put out a very strong first eleven IMO but the team that started tonight was probably league 1 standard. Not starting a proper striker too, I'd have given Gestede a start cos he didn't have much of a pre-season and then we could have took him off after an hour after he'd done the business.

And yeah why put the most prolific scorer outside the PL on the bench if you're not going to bring him on when you're 1-0 down? Not happy.

We drew with Stoke 1-1 on Sunday I missed as I am on holiday. But it sounded like we played well and it was great header by Rhodes getting across his man after a good cross by Conway! Bojan scored for them a great finish into the corner. Tough for Robinson to get down to it. From what I heard Baptiste was very good so that's encouraging! Did you go BR?

Only just seen this sorry! Also on holiday at the moment so missed it, not back until the end of the month so will miss Blackpool away, Bournemouth at home etc too. Was a cracking header from Rhodes though aye.

Is that seriously Blackburn's home kit now? Why is it so light? Looks crap.

It's very different yeah with the light blue, but it's alright you know. I wasn't keen at all on first glance but I like it now, even got myself one.

And plus the last time we had a kit with the blue so light was 1991/92 - and that ended in promotion

And Burnley is a sh*thole.

£10 is a good effort though, surprised it's so cheap.

Hope Williamson gets punished for that tackle. Absolutely disgusting for a pre-season 'friendly'. Gary Bowyer also acted like a complete dick and was sent to the stand aswell.
Erm, where to start for us. Was a good performance from us, but I don't know whether this will be the team Blackburn will play when the season starts so don't know what to make of this. Hussey with some great crosses, Mayor & Jones with good runs, Soares read the game well, Mills had Rhodes in his pocket throughout the game, so yeah I'm quite pleased

I was wondering if you'd have gone! I went. It was pretty poor overall. Didn't have a great view of Williamson's tackle from behind the goal but it looked mental, especially for a friendly. Looking forward to seeing it again. Didn't know Bowyer got sent to the stands?

To be honest all defenders have Rhodes in their pockets for most of the match, he's not the sort that is going to beat a man or hustle and bustle a defender, win a header or anything - he normally just gets a couple of chances and buries them.

They'd both do well. But Lyon would be mad to let them both leave, those two were by far their best players last season (possibly Gonalons too). And Gomis has left already, so they'd have let their three biggest attacking threats, and from memory their three highest top scorers from last season, leave if they sold Grenier and Lacazette.

But we'll see.

Stood At the very front to the left of the goal closet to the post! Next too these 2 little kids who didn't shut up screaming all game. How about you?

Ah okay I was higher up just to the right of the goal! Might be going Bury on Wednesday.

Had completely forgot that after 19 games last season, we were behind Everton and only 2 points infront of Man Utd.

Did you watch Premiership Years yesterday by any chance? I thought the same thing whilst watching it.

The Remy deal is unlucky, he'd have been a good signing. Not sure where they'll look now but £8.5m for him would have been a cracking deal. They'll have to pay more for someone else and possibly not proven in England.

I went to Accrington away last night pretty disappointing to only draw 2-2 with our best team bar Gestede for 70 minutes but our Youth team looked good as they played the last 20 minutes! Anyway something to build on.

I went as well! Where abouts were you stood/sat?

Berahino looked promising around Christmas time last year but tailed off a bit afterwards. Maybe this will be his proper breakthrough season. Huge question marks over the manager though, Alan Irvine, a very strange appointment. I think they could struggle.

Didn't influence games for England anywhere near as much or like he did for Liverpool which is a shame, but when you look at what's coming through in centre midfield (i.e nothing) it's pretty worrying.

No idea for the armband either, there doesn't seem to be any good choices. Maybe Gary Cahill, not sure.

I really liked MGP but you're right, when he had a poor game it was often terrible rather than just poor!

Hopefully he can have a good game in the second leg and help you through. Any chance of that happening or are you just that bad right now?

Yeah I know mental rumors the manager Riga might quit as well already just a month into the job. They need players I hope they decide to buy some after they play them on the 2nd day of the season though!

I forgot we had them so soon! Hopefully they're still in turmoil then, I think they will be.

Speaking of Allegri he's not highly rated because he's an average tactician and horrific man manager, give him a decent team with the dressing room leaders on side like 2010/11 Milan and he'll do fine

And even then they produced an absolutely dire performance when it mattered in the defeat at home to Spurs, they were so bad, especially first half. That's despite having players like Ibrahimovic.

Seems like Allegri is going to become Juventus manager, god knows how. They haven't given it any proper thought, Conte only resigned last night, it's bizarre. They should have looked at Inter, when Mancini left they needed someone who could get them to that extra level in Europe and they went out and got Mourinho. I know Mourinho's not available now but there must be someone out there (at another club or not, you're Juventus, go out and poach someone) who'd be better than bloody Allegri. So unambitious!

Good news for the rest of Serie A though, get that Scudetto to Rome

The Brazil/Oscar 'potential penalty' was never a penalty for me or anyone we watched it with, Oscar is clearly going down before he was even touched, tough to see that in real time but when they slowed it down it was obvious! However I felt Robben should of had a penalty in the second half!

Agree on both counts. Surprised so many were saying they thought the Oscar dive should have been given.

Not really, and I suspect that's why a Premiership club hasn't took a chance on him yet. Long may it continue!
