It was yeah, didn't see it coming, De Boer needed it though even at this stage.

New season, same old Roma unfortunately! Lost tonight to Fiorentina, chance to take advantage of Juve's defeat wasted.

Would have had Sunderland-Everton down as a draw tonight or a narrow Everton win, surprised to see them hammer them 3-0.

Huddersfield and Barnsley as the top 2 after 6 games, who'd have thought it! Fair play to them.

As if Derby have only scored 1 goal after 5 and a half games, even we've mustered 5.

Last time 'Jack' went on loan it was to a young progressive coach who played football the right way. A chilling glimpse into the future for Eddie Howe.7

Haha, thought the exact same thing!

Jack was willing to go to Roma but poor relations between the clubs after trying to conduct business for Manolas ruled that one out.

He wouldn't have been a guaranteed starter either, I'm guessing Arsenal wanted to make sure they were sending him somewhere where he'd definitely be starting (when fit).

Will be interesting to see how he does - if he's as good as some make out then he should stand out in that Bournemouth team. Hope he does well for England's sake.

David Luiz going back to Chelsea is an odd one.

Nowhere near as odd as Hart to Toro, Balotelli to Nice or Wilshere to Bournemouth though - who'd have seen those coming?

Can't see that happening to be honest.

Judging by your start me neither, but having spent that much money surely the fans are demanding you to be up there?

Villa have spent an insane amount of money, especially on the two up front, no excuse for them not to get promoted now.

Was only one goal off on my super sixes this week. Just needed Southampton to have won 2-1 against Sunderland..

Seriously? That's a bloody good effort! Did somebody get all 6? If not you'd have been a shoe in for the £5k prize.

Domestically, where else is there? Chelsea aren't in Europe this season and are probably happy with Courtois. United have De Gea who is better and I don't see City selling to United! Arsenal? Wenger probably has a nosebleed from what he has already spent this window (assuming Mustafi and Perez go through). Spurs have a competent goalkeeping duo in Vorm and Lloris. Is Leicester worth the risk? Champs League football but far from a guarantee they'll get it again. Don't see what other options there are domestically. I suppose abroad is always an option...

Can only think of Liverpool domestically, I think that'd be a good move for both parties, would be interesting to see him abroad though!

Can't believe people are talking about Hart moving to Sunderland just because Mannone is injured.

Thought the same thing.

I'd even be very surprised if he went somewhere like Everton, surely he'd be aiming higher having been a title challenger + CL regular for the last few years.

What the hell is going on with Ajax???

Saw that result yeah, shame really, I'd much rather have, say, Ajax v Milan in the latter stages of the CL than City v PSG.

Think they've had a couple of dodgy results so far in the Eredivisie too, the new manager might not be up to much.

Henri Saivet has also departed, joining St. Etienne on a season long loan deal.

Did he ever even play? You've certainly made some odd signings from Ligue 1 the last few years.

How come the "Rovers" stand was closed for the Crewe game?

It's been happening the last couple of years for cup games, if they put all Rovers fans in two stands then it saves a few quid on things, that's the way we operate these days. In fact the upper tier of the Blackburn End is shut for every game for the full season!

Plus the camera is in that little stand now, wouldn't surprise me if they try and permanently close it soon, wouldn't even be able to tell on TV. Grim.

Well it seems, tonights match at Ewood wasn't quite sold out
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqkJCtKWEAAaUiQ.jpg

Their twitter had it down as something around 3.400. My arse

That attendance would have been correct, Crewe had about 500 and the stand this picture was taken from had by far the most in it. The little one opposite was closed for tonight.

Still though, it's a seriously sad state of affairs; stands closing, lowest attendance since 1986, real shame to see Rovers in this current state.

The ref later put out a tannoy announcement that any further whistles from the crowd would result in suspension of play.

Shane Duffy scoring 3 own goals in less than 2 matches indicates something towards the utter dross currently masquerading in Blackburn colours.

Incidentally, another forum I frequent mentioned leaked documents into some of the utter fuck-ups being done by Venky's. Hear anything about this?

Club's an absolute shambles mate.

I saw those documents yeah, dodgy stuff going on which isn't a surprise but even l was amazed at Ke*n's contract. Bear in mind we'd finished in the top 10 of the PL for 4 out of the previous 5 seasons before that lot bought us and promoted him to manager, his contract included bonuses depending on where we finished in League One. Scum, the lot of them, completely ruined us.

Newcastle are in real, real trouble - we've very possibly got the worst central midfield in the division.

No chance, there's some serious dross in this division (my team probably being the best example).

I'm sure you'll win tonight and will be up near the top in no time.

Looks like Claudio Bravo to City will be done later this week. Four year deal.

What next for Joe Hart then I wonder? Despite a few shortcomings he's far too good to be sat on the bench, just not sure what other club he could go to.

Owen Coyle is clueless, that has been clear for years now.

Despite this, Rovers will not start to recover until Venky's sell up and finally f*ck off.

Elsewhere, two defeats from two for Newcastle, crazy.....I'm sure they'll still go up though. Terriersmad will have had a cracking day!
