Will be following this one close me, never been able to get into managing in the MLS as I could never be arsed to get to grips with the rules. This will probably tempt me to give it another go
Wrapped the league up with 3 games to spare. The treble is still on.
Selby has just won the snooker too. Leicester are taking over
This is why I love football
Interesting premise and love the layouts. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this
By Shedender | On 02 May 2016 - 09:28 AM BSTSo close to dumping out Barca!
Aye, would've given me a nice easy final as well
By BananaRama2000 | On 02 May 2016 - 10:33 AM BSTyou have to sign brazilian ronaldo at some point surely
Oh naturally, my number 1 target. I check his availability like every month hah
I've been playing a weak as hell side in the league to make sure my best players are fresh for the return leg against Monaco, resulting in some poor results.
Absolutely worth it. Great performance. Monaco did get a goal right near the end but it...
Liverpool won the replay 1-0. Huge final with the old enemy ahead
Solskjaer, who hasn't played much this season, steps up when we need him to. Coming off the bench to send us into the FA Cup Final
Spurs and Liverpool goes to a replay
In better news our League form has been fantastic.
Wimbledon came down with the Christmas decorations and quickly fell away. Whilst we have gone completely unbeaten since the last update, until the Monaco game anyway. 9 Wins and 1 Draw in the leag...
A drab game with few chances. Gonna need to pull our fingers out at Old Trafford in the return leg.
Elsewhere a Pep Guardiola goal gives Barca the advantage in the other tie
In other news Spurs win the League Cup, beating Newcastle on penalties.
Jordi Cruyff was moaning more about lack of playing time so I shipped him off to Spurs for £2m. He was good cover but I barely needed him so I doubt he'll be missed
The Great Dane plays a blinder in Turin and we're through to the Semi's
By Shedender | On 01 May 2016 - 22:36 PM BSTYep, who cares about you duffing Juventus when Newcastle beat Real Madrid 2-0 at St. James'.
Well there you go, int...
With City currently in Division 1 I got my first chance at derby when I drew them in the cup. Nice to give them a bit of a slapping.
Wow... speechless. Absolutely MASSIVE win, especially not conceding an away goal Zizou had a shocker
Elsewhere Newcastle must be buzzing to have Shearer back from injury. A brace from him downing Madrid
Two of the players I had my eye on Neset and Lampard have both been signed by other clubs. I wanted them but felt I had to stick to my no more signings statement. Neset went to Sampdoria and Lampard to Leeds. I may get them one day...
Elsewhere Blackburn...
By itchycoo | On 01 May 2016 - 19:29 PM BSTLove this! I remember having a great save on 97 with Wolves. I had a striker duo of Batistuta and Cantona a few seasons in... Those were the days...
Aye Batistuta is a monster, I'm hoping to get him at some...
By Shedender | On 01 May 2016 - 19:02 PM BSTAh, Newcastle in the Champions League. Memories.
Haha aye, they're doing great too. Not so much in the league though. Probably as Shearer has been injured for all of it. Only made 1 start this season
The last 10 games haven't quite gone as smoothly. Surprise package Wimbledon with a healthy-ish lead.
Too many silly draws and a very poor patch of form in November that just happened to coincide with injuries to Bakayoko and Laudrup. Also cras...
Absolutely nightmare draw against probably the best team around at this moment in time. Some tasty ties elsewhere too Barca v Bayern obviously but also Monaco v Parma, two very young, talented and exciting sides.
Out of the group easy enough. Forgot how different the CL was back then as only the winners of each group go through, with the 2 highest 2nd place finishes.
Damn me having so many Strikers already.
This guy is really grabbing my interest. Scoring like fun for the Norwegian national team and those stats look great. Really cheap as well... could get him for around £2m. I'll hold off for now though...
Van Dijk and Mane are quality
This afternoons result even more annoying now given the City score
Both sides were pretty poor. Probably the right result. It's unbelievable the amount of work that needs to be done to our side
By Sam | On 01 May 2016 - 14:48 PM BSTIt's amazing how the Sky commentators are making me hope that Leicester fuck up the title.
Embarrassing bias. Understandable that it's an amazing story if Leicester win it, but still it's pretty awful....
Can somebody other than Rojo please mark Morgan, jesus
Martial Uncharacteristic shocking defending from Leicester there
By BananaRama2000 | On 01 May 2016 - 03:03 AM BSTthis is the first fm i ever played, that man utd squad screen brings back the memories. i hated sheffield wednesday, alexandersson and benito carbone always seemed to turn into god mode against me, you bett...
Mahrez v Rojo
By Dan | On 01 May 2016 - 12:47 PM BSTSometimes I love being a Liverpool fan, two nil down to Swansea by half time, admittedly Klopp has again rotated the squad but we're on the fringe of not even qualifying for the europa league next season through...
Just about to tuck into catching up on this bad boy... see you in about a week You seem to have made good progress though I'm looking forward to reading through it
Never attempted the British Steel Challenge myself so will be keeping a close eye on this one. Nice to see your league form has improved and you're on fire in all the cups. KUTG
Thanks guys, I'm exactly the same and yeah I really plan to stick with it long term. My dissertation at Uni is due in a few days so things will be slow-ish to begin with but then after that it will be full stream ahead
Hahaha Oh dear Villa
No more of this please guys. My heart can't take it, when Bakayoko missed the kick to win it I thought we had thrown it away. Never has the 3rd round of the League Cup felt so important
10 Games in and I can't have any complaints. Unbeaten in the league and Europe, though with Barca next that will probably change very soon.
I have managed to stay surprisingly free of any new injuries. As a result both Cruyff and Solskjaer reque...
Leyton Orient finally relented and I got Heidenstrom in for 325k. Notman and Nevland went out on loan. There won't be anymore signings this season.
By Shedender | On 29 April 2016 - 22:29 PM BSTI love seeing retro games posted on the careers section @SpinSwimScream so of course I'm going to follow. KIU.
Thanks man. Yeah I realised it had been far too long since I had been in the career thread a...
Been drawn in a Champions League group with Barca, Bayer Leverkusen and Banik Ostrava. A tough group it seems, especially as I seem to recall this edition of CM as one of the less forgiving ones. Making roads in Europe always seemed like a right ball ache...
Also Bakayoko, Denilson and Henry all scored on their debuts. Impact
I have absolutely zero impluse control . Though looking at those stats and knowing what he turns into how could I refuse
My problem now is I have Bakayoko, Henry, Solskjaer, Sheringham, Cole (as well as Scholes/Nevland/Notman) for 2 positions. Too...
Now that I've got some signings in I will be lining up like this. Quick and direct
Got my boys
Spent a combined 17.3m on these three, as well as £4m on Richard Wright in goal as backup/future Schmeichel replacement as he is a bit of a wonderkid on this game. I've spent a lot of what the board have given me but the majo...
A late strike from the little magician denies me my first silverware
A late strike from the little magician denies me my first silverware
The simplicity of this version means time passes incredibly quickly and so the Charity/Community Shield is upon us already and I have yet to get anyone in. All the injuries to my strikers means I will be lining up like this.
The inexperience of a 22 ye...
