Ever since I got football manager 2017 I've always had this issue with my laptop suddenly shutting off when starting a new game and/or if I'm in an existing game and I go to "exit game to start menu" and then click "new game"...

Just wondering, I am currently still playing Football Manager 2016. Can I still apply the daily data update from 2017 into the game? or is the 2017 daily updates only for the FM 2017 game?
