Issue with football manager 2017 (SEE POST COMMENT)

Ever since I got football manager 2017 I've always had this issue with my laptop suddenly shutting off when starting a new game and/or if I'm in an existing game and I go to "exit game to start menu" and then click "new game" it will wait a few seconds after you press the button and then all of a sudden my laptop completely shuts off for no reason. I don't know if this is an overheating issue with my pc or is it actually an issue with the game? Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I had an issue like that a few years ago and it was due to my motherboard having faulty connections.

It's definitely not FM related.

Try re-installing windows (it might not be the motherboard), or crack open the laptop and see if any wires are loose.
