If I hire a person with an unproven reputation as my assistant manager when I manage a big reputation club, does it matter?

I'm currently managing Athletic Club Bilbao and I'm looking for an asst.manager with the right attributes to the asst.manager-role, and Paul McGuinness have them all, but he's got an unproven reputation.

Does this have any say on my players willingness to work under him or what?

hello mate. no, i have never found it an issue tbh. i always just go with the one with best attributes for the job.

what i do like in an ass man is JA & JP. they always have to be high for me as i need the best advice possible when picking a team.

I don't know of it having any impact, the only problem that could potentially arise is with team talks. If they have a lower rep then the players may not listen to him too much in the team talks, but that rep should grow quickly and the problem will be stamped out.

JCA/JPP is usually what I look for too, I like to use both my ast man and head of youth development as extra scouts and as gauges of a players development during his time with my club

I find it truly funny that both Paul McGuiness (U18) and Warren Joyce (U21), both managers at Man United have an unproven reputation, though...

Yeah that is weird, where are you managing? If you are non-England maybe its because they may not have too high of a global rep?
