Who is supposed to be the person linking the central play between Tottenham's midfield and Soldado? If it was meant to be Dembele he's doing a terrible job, and out wide Chadli and Townsend's delivery into the box has been atrocious.

That could be the case, hence Dembele coming off.

I'd imagine Eriksen will hold that role, although I don't know why he didn't play Holtby or Gylfi.

Giroud was incredible today. Spurs look fucking shit without Bale or penalties. I'm sure they'll get better but I fucking love that we've beaten them today. Fucking love it.

Between Walker and Townsend's inability to get the ball over the first man, Chadli's complete absence, and Dembele's poor link up play, it left Soldado completely isolated.

Lamela looked interesting and it remains to be seen how effective Eriksen will be in this team, but there is a lot of tactical work that needs to be done to incorporate Tottenham's mish mash of talent.

Well done to Arsenal for playing their game effectively and defending heroically towards the end. A real let down, I'm sure others were expecting an electric match, but Tottenham are nowhere near the finished article yet.

In heinseight, it was probably better to play them now before all the players have gelled. You could tell today which side had been playing together for far longer. I'm not so sure the result would have been the same if this game was played in a month's time.

Once he finds a way to incorporate all those players into an effective machine they will be outstanding. He did it last season and I can see him doing it again. Lamela has the makings of a good Bale replacement.

I think it's too early to work out what effect this will have on either side. Probably the earliest I can remember the derby being in recent years.
