I wish he wasn't, because I like Kagawa and Rooney is a cunt but there's just no way he should be playing over Rooney at this point in time.
Wes Brown
He could easily play in a similar role to what Welbeck has started in this season. Positioned on the left but able to roam inside (which is what he generally did last season anyway).

I imagine we're probably going to get sued by Laffer as well, if that article is true, pissing off a law firm isn't the smartest thing to do.

They don't though, normal clubs do fucking stupid stuff like that all the time.
Basically any other club other than Man Utd, they have been so impeccably ran for ages. It's going to be strange watching them make the amateur mistakes all other clubs make.

Badly run clubs, maybe. None of our domestic or European rivals, with the exception of Arsenal, who we comfortably out Arsenaled yesterday have been as bad as us this summer.
Doing 'fucking stupid shit' doesn't make you normal, it makes you a laughing stock.
Poe
Every clubs is a laughing stock at some point though (trust me being a Newcastle fan I know), all the top clubs have done it in the past 10 years. In England at least.
Ninja
But thats not the 'normal' state of affairs, thats an abberation.
Plenty of clubs can do business better than we have done this summer. For example, Chelsea, City, Spurs... actually I'll save time, everyone has done business better than us this summer with the possible (but no means definite) exception of you. Is every single one of those clubs not 'normal'?
Poe
Such as Arsenal bidding 10m for Cabaye, thinking ah fuck it, actually we'll spend 42m on Ozil instead. Or bidding £40,000,001 for Suarez. City have been good, but how often is that the case? Same with Chelsea. Normally very spend thrift and disposable with their managers and no long term stability. I'm not just talking about transfers here btw.
We've definitely been worse than you in the transfer window this summer, there's no question about that. It's been appalling, but I do get what you're saying, when Man Utd are comparing how badly they're being ran to Newcastle there's definitely something amiss.

He wanted us, we wanted him and we were there to pay his clause.
1. We sent the law firm to pay his clause.
2. Athletic said "nope, we will not receive your money."
3. United had instructed the reps to pull the plug if issues occurred.
4. During the Martinez deal, Athletic said the same to Bayern, who then turn to governmental entities to put pressure on Athletic.
5. With so little time left of the window, United couldn't force the issue and pulled the plug to focus on Fellaini.

But it doesn't explain why we'd deny those lawyers were working for us.

Which doesn't resolve us of blame, should have sorted this fucking weeks ago.
VP.

Basically says we only actually paid £23.5m and the extra £4m came from Fellaini forfeiting his bonuses making it 'worth' £27m to Everton.
Much less stupid if true.

Still should have been sorted about 2 months before it was though.
