That's how it has been with Anderson for the last three or four years now. Promising at the start and invisible at the end. We should really get rid of him asap as his value will only go down and his value was not high even three years ago.

Truth. Woodward's negotiations via the media are annoying.

Has Woodward been in the media?

Seems to just be Moyes.

Yeah, I don't think I've actually heard Woodward say anything.

I know it's Moyes saying it all, but it's since Woodward took over from Gill that all our transfer dealings have been incredibly public, under Gill-Fergie this was never (rarely) the case.

Gill may have been a hypocritical dick but the publicity of our transfers (lack of transfers even) is pretty embarrassing, Gill handled things well.

Whatever happened to Woodward's 'urgent transfer business' anyway?

Moyes has done little more than confirm a story twice, to the best of my recollection Ferguson did it with RVP and Lucas last year and De Gea the year before.

I find it hard to see a huge departure from what Ferguson did and Moyes is doing, Ferguson was a little more coy about it, but that was about it.

It just feels like this is the sign of things to come under Woodward though.

Everything just feels too public, even after the RVP admission it still wasn't as ridiculous as this. All the failed Fabregas bids being so public is stupid, Fergie was able to avoid revealing much when asked about certain rumours. The way the club is going about things now they may as well use the Twitter account to update everyone on how much we're bidding for players as if we're playing FM.

Hopefully with Moyes and Woodward together in Manchester again the business can continue behind closed doors.

We'll probably lose, in which the 'United in crisis' and 'Moyes Out' headlines will start.

Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Don't want to hear the 'Moyes Out' bullshit for the next week or two.

When is it acceptable for the 'Moyes Out' headlines to start appearing? Because Fergie did say to give Moyes a couple years isn't it?

Well I'd say if we slip out of the top four this season that'd be a bit alarming.

I don't know, but I've a feeling they're going to come too soon, even from Utd fans.

When I lived in Greece I once observed a bunch of Irish Manchester United fans watching a pre-season friendly match final (labelled as some kind of cup) with a ludicrous amount of passion. I mean to a degree that is just fucking stupid. I hate Manchester United.

Not that drunk. It was an entire family of about 15. It was called the Audi Cup. They looked like dicks.

Valencia comes on and instantly runs forward and puts a cross in.

HE'S IMPROVED ALREADY!

Wasn't a fantastic performance but we won comfortably.

Impressed with the partnership between Cleverley and Carrick in midfield.

It is hardly ever acceptable to call for a managers head.

All fans like that do. They will likely change their club in a few seasons if we don't win anything.

Valencia has gone back to #25...

Hopefully that brings him back to his old form two seasons ago. Must've been his decision to switch?

Is he switching because a new '7'-worthy signing is close, or because Valencia can't handle the weight of the number on his back?

It's a number. As much as you'd like to think it matters to him, it means fuck all. Footballers don't see football the same way as fans.

Psychologically I always loved playing in the number 9 or 7....

Can't imagine many professional footballers being the same though.
