Prefer Hurt Locker, but it's another good 'war' flick from Bigelow.

Didn't like that film at all
Fantastic
That film is a mess. It can be summed up by the use of Rebel Wilson and allowing her to just say whatever she wants, but feeding out from that... I mean it's a true story and the tone is so... so fucked. It's presented as almost a light hearted romp and our heroes are three fucking idiots. I've read some people try to justify it as a satire of the American Dream, but I find it difficult to rationalise the the satirisation of a true story. A true story which involves the brutal torture of one man and the murder of two others.
If anything it just shows Michael Bay can only make one type of film, that film is great if it's Bad Boys II, but when it tries to be a character piece it just shows how limited he is in scope and direction. I feel sorry for anyone actually related to this event because he's basically made a joke out of it.
Serious piece of shit film I highly recommend you see, just to understand it, to see what a bad film looks like.

Other than that I saw The Way, Way Back which was good fun if quite sleight. Sam Rockwell steals the show so worth seeing it just for him.
And Jurassic Park on the IMAX which pretty much confirms it's position in my top 5. That film is bloody perfect.

It's not often I watch a film and I'm sitting there going "holy shit, this thing is an actual masterpiece". It's a fucking winner from top to bottom. Acting, writing, cinematography. I can't stop thinking about just how good it is.
