Not really. It was borderline and he saw a foul. He had no help from the assistant so went with what he felt he saw. He was great aside from that but maybe should have send Young off.

And for fans of stats, Newcastle had the most shots on target again, for the second week running. And had more than or equal the number of shots on targets as every other 3PM kickoff.

But still, as I say in that post, I don't see why you'd give a free kick despite the striker is clear through on goal.

I think he blew almost straight away, i agree its a terrible decision and so many refs fail to play advantage for anywhere near long enough.
