Yeah... no. Been there, nothing special.

*in my opinion. Much like in my opinion Norwich is a fine city.
Telegram Sam
Morons for not appreciating the finer points of Norwich?

Architecture, I don't see it being particularly special.

Uni campus has a great atmosphere
Like I said, I haven't got much for comparison.

Having never been in Norwich, the Elm Hill area looks interesting judging from the pictures I've seen. Don't know how you feel about mediaeval architecture though. Judging from the discussions we've had in the past about the subject, I suspect our tastes differ quite a lot.
I noticed they were selling Beverley Hills Cop on blu-ray in the shop when I went to buy breakfast earlier. I regret not buying it now.

Where have you applied?
Carroll.
2 in Birmingham University, 2 in Newmans College in Redditch and one in New College in Redditch aswell. Obviously hoping for the Birmingham ones.
Sears
Thought UCAS was when you sent an application to go to a foreign university, no?
Telegram Sam
No.
Sears
It does in Ireland for us though. If I were to try apply for a foreign university, I'd have to apply for UCAS.
Forgot that it was a British admission service, my bad.
Telegram Sam
We go through UCAS to apply, yeah.

Well that's a given. Not really sure what else I'd want to/be trained to do.

Yeah, well Roman History/Archaeology Lecturer/Professor, or an academic researcher in the same field(s).

Going to submit it to 6-8 places (first choice being Oxford). Will take a year off as you said, and apply the following November. Teaching Classics once a week in local secondary state schools, starting January. Although I'm pretty sure I never want to teach at secondary level (although it's only private schools that teach it anyway.).
Ninja
I did Classics at a State School.

Ok.ok. MOST don't.
The reason that I've got this teaching position is to go into state schools to provide Classics outreach, to get kids interested that otherwise might not. More than likely teaching in my old senior school, still going to be weird despite leaving 6 years ago.
