Wondering why Evans wasn't sent off as he went in with both feet and studs showing. Shelvey wins the ball and its only his momentum that makes it impossible for him to stop. Pathetic decision from the ref, it wasn't even a bad tackle.

Nah difference is, Evans was very static in comparison.

Shelvey went aggressively chasing after the ball and had a lot more momentum going into that tackle.

Shelvey's tackle was silly and reckless I agree, but I really think Evan's is just as bad.

It reminded me alot of the Evans tackle on Holden that got Holden so badly injured. If he hadn't had been sent off I don't imagine I would've argued too much about it, but you're running a risk if you go in so hard.

First of all I don't think slow motion replays can really depict a challenge properly.

But secondly look at Shelvey's legs compared to Evans his legs are raised off the floor far before Evans hence why I think he had a lot more momentum to potentially hurt Evans.

Tough call though.

Surely a contact but that really shouldn't bring a man down, Suarez knew he was gonna trip over as soon as he saw Evans stick out his leg in the penalty box.
