No it wasn't, Oxlade-Chamberlain was on the counter and Gerrard cynically brought him down. Yellow all day.

Edit: Not forgetting the Podolski tackle on Flanagan as well.

The penalty that was given was soft as shit. Podolski tapped Suarez and he just threw out his legs from underneath him. If that's a penalty then the Skrtel tackle isn't nothing - he's gone through Cazorla and studded him on the top of the foot.
The Chamberlain tackle on Suarez was a stonewaller though. Hilarious.

He didn't. He could have stayed on his feet if he wanted to. Contact does not always mean a penalty.
I fail to see how a slight tap on your right leg makes your left leg collapse.

It's quite obvious why I think it wasn't a penalty - I don't think the contact is enough to make Suarez go down. He's felt it and has thrown his legs out from out underneath him.
I don't see how you can say it was simultaneously 'soft as fuck' and a 'penalty all day'.

Minimal contact on the first penalty although I'm not sure. Second was heroically unsubtle by Oxlade-Chamberlain so shoulda been given regardless, while how Gerrard avoided a red deserves questioning.

Gerrard should definitely have been sent off, Webb just bottled it as usual

That look.
Webb v Sterling?
Howard gets my vote.

It should be a match and should happen at Wrestlemania.

It's pretty obvious how - I don't feel the contact made by Podolski is enough to send Suarez down. It's a contact sport and just because another player touches you in the area, you don't have a right to go down. If he had wanted to stay standing he could have done, but he's just felt the touch and thrown out both of his legs from underneath him.
Either way, we got lucky not to concede a second but should have had a penalty ourselves and Gerrard (and perhaps Sterling) should have seen red. Poor performance all-round from Webb.

We could've won it despite the refereeing.
