tbf he probably only did that against Arsenal because at one point they had a reputation for making a meal out of things.

Mainly mentioned it cos Mirror Sport had a 2-page spread about Alan Sugar being wrong, Sherwood saying Soldado has "come good" and some columnist saying he's suddenly worth the money

I think what didn't help Soldado was AVB's style of play. He persisted with putting left footers on the right and right footers on the left. That meant no crosses went in and therefore no chances for Soldado to score. That left him low on confidence. It doesn't help that none of our players know how to cross a ball anyway, especially Townsend. Thank fuck AVB's gone though, that was so painful watching that crap every week.

As for those comments about him, I think he is easily capable of 20+ goals in 1 season, but he has to be used right for that to happen. He hasn't come good yet and if he reaches 15 this season then i'll take that. I doubt Sherwood is serious when he says he'll get 20 more, he's just trying to motivate him and show belief. Its not like he's going to say he'll get fuck all goals for the rest of the season is it? Maybe we should get Bale back on loan for a bit. His time with Ronaldo will most likey have improved his diving skills and we can get more pens for Soldado to score!
