And aye, that's what happens when you have 0 creativity in midfield and resort to 4-5-1 at home to an extremely average Villa side.

Quite.

Gotta wonder what the people who book games for Sky think, given Liverpool and Swansea are having a goalfest and that game's UK audience is exclusively on the illegal streams.

In all fairness you cannot predict a matches score weeks in advance, plus i expected the Newcastle game to be quite good as Villa play quite attacking when away from home. The Liverpool game should have been a home banker what with Swansea playing on Thursday too.

Phew got away with that one. Cant be doing so many basic defensive errors, its suicidal. Lucky we have probably the best attack going forwards.
Dont quite get Rodgers substitutions at times, Sturridge was on a hattrick and game wasnt really safe.

Suarez is starting to get frustrated but fair play to him. Keeps working hard for the team. Shows how much hes changed when he even runs after the ball in added time after an offside call just to restart play quicker. Really wanted a goal

It was clear at the end Sturridge and (a frustrated) Suarez were getting in each others way, ergo Rodgers subbed Sturridge to leave Suarez alone in his pursuit for goal.

Initially didn't get subbing Allen for Sterling, but I guess Rodgers realized that we were overrun in midfield and with our shitty defence, an extra man in midfield was needed.

Dzeko is awesome, fuck all y'all.

Also, Jovetic is injured again, for a change.

Great result for Norwich. I think the top four looks nailed on now, can't see anyone catching Liverpool.

Highest league scorers with 70 goals. Would be such a disaster if we got caught now.

Our whole defence is. I remember the Benitez days, the situations completely opposite now

When you play this type of football (super attacking) you are bound to concede some goals, but my god our defence is horse shit. Oh, and you can clearly see Rodgers tries to seal the games in the beginning, which means the team loses a gear or two (or three) in the second half (of those 70, close to 50 where scored in the first half).

A miracle for title this season (given our shit defence), but it doesn't matter, 4th place will make me a very happy man. I waited all my life for the title, can wait another season (or two ).

I think Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Chelsea are nailed on for the top four now - no clue who will finish where though in that group.

Yeah, I agree.

It's going to be really important too, because we're going to win the Champion's League and steal that 4th slot.

Actually that would be hilarious if Liverpool came 4th.

Somehow rumours have emerged that West Brom are considering sacking Pepe Mel already, after six games of an 18 month contract.

I'd be amazed if it happened but after such a stupid season for managerial sackings I wouldn't think of it as that far-fetched a scenario really.

If it's not working out, then they might as well, especially if they've put in severance clauses. There's so much money at stake when it comes to staying in the league, and he's been a bland appointment thus far. West Brom are regressing slowly, and a bold decision now might keep them up.

It'd be slightly unfair I think - they haven't won yet but they've drawn at home to Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea under him.

I agree that ruthless decisions do sometimes have to be made but I'd give him more time yet.

Speaking for the first time since sacking boss Malky Mackay in December, Tan says the Scot was fortunate to get the manager's job in June 2011. Mackay was appointed in June 2011 by then chairman TG Chan and former director Alan Whiteley. He led Cardiff to promotion last season but Tan claims previous manager Dave Jones did a much better job.
"He [Mackay] didn't do very well at Watford, but somehow our CEO and our chairman hired him and replaced Dave Jones," Tan adds. "Dave Jones actually did much better. So I think Malky got lucky when he came to Cardiff. I invested a lot of money and then we went up. Do you think that Malky would have got us promoted without my investment?"

Fair point imo

Mackay seems to have played his card very well here, giving the impression that he'd been victimised and all that.

In contrast to Pardew who has said much less considering the similar amount of shit that's going on up there.

Granted Pardew's in probably the only top club that'll persist with him, but it's still interesting to see Mackay do the complete opposite.

I still think if Tan was that pissed off about Mackay, he should've either fired him sooner or not been drawn into a protracted war of words. He probably would've escaped being labelled the villain, or at least to the fairly hardcore levels its reached, and been the target of less fan animosity. It doesn't really help that their displays have gone from bad to dreadful under Solskjaer.

The most odd thing is that "piss me off again and I leave" comment - it sounds like an invitation for Cardiff fans to do something along those lines.

Its an odd position because he has done stuff that other clubs in the Championship would want - the likes of Bolton, Leeds, Middlesbrough and others would like a billionaire owner that could clear their debt and put cash towards promotion bids, and some of the stuff does make sense. But he does seem capable of extraordinarily stupid decisions.
