Tottenham haven't been great either. At least it's one of them games when neither team plays well and it's a entertaining game, rather than it being shite.

Moyes really needs to grow some balls when it comes to dealing with Van Persie, he has been awful yet we take off one of our most dangerous looking players in Januzaj.

What the fuck is it with Vidic and Liverpool

He's scared to, see the quote about not wanting to sub him off against Newcastle because the fans would complain.

He's a spineless, archaic throwback to pre-historic football management, with the leadership quality and tactical nous of a pumice stone.

He needs to be let go sharpish before he actually gets a chance to 'mould the team in his own image'.

Liverpool didn't even play that well, I didn't think, we probably could have lost that game if they'd stayed in Liverpool.

I fail to see how it's worse than purposely handling the ball in your own box. Both cheating.

Although I do accept that diving has a much worse reputation in this country when compared to other acts of cheating in a game.

Everyone agreed it was a dive. Made up for the missed pen a few minutes later though.

I really don't know how deliberate that was.

I mean, yes, its hit his hand in an unnatural position so its always going to be a penalty, but I don't know how much he knew about it, maybe I need to watch the replay again, but I thought the first few times I saw it his hand was out and the ball bounced into it. At any rate, if you're going to deliberately handball it, at least make convincing enough contact that it doesn't just drop down to the opposition strikers feet.

I'd be focusing on his tackle on Gerrard more if I was a Liverpool fan, he easily could have been off for that, probably should have been, too.

Huge win. Great to beat the Spuds 3/3 times this season.

Rosicky's goal was insane.

Probably the greatest banner I've ever seen, bar the Irish 'Angel Merkel thinks we're at work one' banner at the Euro's

Well, 0-1 isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I predicted 1-3 but then when I saw the team sheets I thought Arsenal would get more than just 3. How Bentaleb gets so many games is beyond me. But, although we lost, it was a huge improvement on the crappy performance against that blue shit last weekend.

Also, keep up the good work David Moyes.

To be fair, they weren't much worse than Liverpool.

Rafael had a nightmare first 10 minutes and should have been sent and Phil Jones isn't good enough yet - no matter how many times the media refers to Fergies quotes about him being the best Man Utd player ever in the future. He's too clumsy.

Referee I thought had a shocker, so many incidents where people could have been sent off. He bottled awarding a 4th pen too, was even clearer than the Sturridge one.

Errm.

Classic 4-4-2, I think, with Rooney playing too far forward to be a number 10. Mata coming in from the right nominally, but in reality playing basically in central midfield and Januzaj swapping wings to be our only winger.

So no, not really.

Inevitable that he was going to start selling the dreams of Newcastle fans. When will the madness end?

I swear that's a theory that's been going around for ages.

Plus, I'm pretty sure if St. James' Park is to be uniformally sized like the 2000 extension, they'd have to bulldoze a few dozen properties around it. So unless they'd do what Liverpool are doing and deliberate make people homeless, I doubt its going to be extended anyway.

The properties around the ground are listed buildings.

We don't need an extension anyway - the only time we sell out is against the top 4 and Sunderland.

'For me that car park currently leased by the council, is, was, and forever will be Newcastle United Football Club' - Sir Bobby Robson

I know absolutely nothing about buildings and that but it doesn't really seem likely Newcastle are going to redevelop just the Gallowgate. It would cost millions for only a few thousand extra seats. Sheppards East stand/Gallowgate redevelopment plan was only meant to add 8'000 extra seats. And the car park is across the road?

Amazing how to a lot of fans this land is suddenly the most important acre in the world now. And good to see 'asset-stripping' has been added to their vague business vocabulary to make it sound like they have a fucking clue what they are talking about.

Aye Shepherd's planned extension was fairly pointless. Expanding it would be an interesting challenge with the shape of the land and all, but still pointless if attendance numbers don't justify it.

I dunno - there are plenty of sticks with which to beat Ashley with. The fact commercial income has halved since his arrival, signing a deal with Wonga.com when they paid less than Virgin Money and not signing players to preserve a top 6 challenge, for example. But with this one, its hard to get excited. Asset stripping in a football context would be something like Ashley selling the stadium, training ground and either the entire first team, or those that can be sold. Not quite what this land sale is.

3-0, Hazard penalty.

Ox handballed, yet Gibbs was the one who was sent off.

He's given the red card to the wrong player.
