Budapest Honvéd are one the oldest and most successful sides in Hungary, and they will be your club to manage for this third stage of the tour. In a period of a somewhat transition one of your first jobs will need you to address the staff both on and off the field, the training facilities, the youth system, and work with some limited money to help you dominate your rivals and continue to qualify for European football. Despite the fact you are in somewhat period of transition, you were once one of the biggest clubs not just in Hungary but in Europe itself. A side that possessed some of the Hungarian greats that formed the Mighty Magyars. Do you have what it takes to keep up the domestic expectations expected of the Kispest? Can you give this once big club another period of celebration?

A good opening season I feel. With the Europa League, League Cup & Hungarian Cup to contend with, we were always around 4 or 5 games behind every other league team, and Videoton had the league wrapped up early on, but we had a fair few wins towards the end that pushed us from 4th to 2nd. We had a good run in both the Hungarian Cup and League Cup, but ultimately lost the League Cup to a superior Ferencváros side. A sloppy 3-0 reverse in the 2nd leg of the Hungarian Cup meant we exited 3-2 on aggregate. We somehow got pretty far in the Europa League, before Saint-Etienne dumped us out. Incidentally, St. Etienne went on all the way to the final, where they lost 2-0 to Man City.

Bit of a mixed start here, it seemed I couldn't get the team playing in any kind of coherent form. We would win a couple, then lose a few or draw them and in the end despite me promising the board a top half finish I got 7th. Which I suppose is top half technically.

Unlucky there MarkC1984. Sometimes you just get dealt a bad season. Hopefully you will get given a bigger wage budget 2nd season, as mine went from £20k to £40k for the second season with promises that I will make the top 4. Also, get rid of the Italian on massive wages if he is still there. He very quickly declined for me, and was quickly sent packing once I could get rid of him.

I'm actually pleased that I've been sacked to an extent. The squad is absolutely piss and with no wages for new signings, it's difficult enough. All those defeats was starting to stop me enjoying the game as I'm not used to losing games when I'm at Rangers. So, yeah, I will take the -25 points and see you for the next challenge.

For anyone else, I highly recommend getting rid of Emiliano Bonazzoli as soon as you can, as he takes up around ½ of your wage budget. There are quite a lot of good, young & free agent Hungarian players at the start of the game who you can sign for no more than £500pw, meaning you could get 20 players in for the equivalent cost of Bonazzoli''s wages, which are around £10kpw if I remember correctly.

Because he recently joined the club, I couldn't terminate his contract. He's on over £10k p/w and is wank.

Trouble is, whilst he takes half of the budget for me, he is also the top scorer for the first season. Do I sell him, or carry on with his hefty wages and see if he can help fire us to the League title this season. Tough choice.

Actually choice been taken away from me, player has decided to move on a free transfer at the end of his contract, which just so happens to be at the end of June 2014.

However, bad news alert. Chairman is looking for a new owner. Will I be able to survive the carnage of a takeover? Doubtful.

Victory on the final day of the season would have secured the league title after we led the league for the final few games of the season, but Debrecen's draw with MTK was enough to see them take the title. Poor showings in both of the cups, and a tougher group draw in the Europa League saw us perform overall slightly worse than last season. Hopefully a final season push (in terms of this challenge) next season can spur us on to the league title next season, and if I can find a reliable goal scorer, I think we can also challenge in one of the cups. Unfortunately, with the wage budget being what it is, success in Europe is virtually impossible, as most teams who make even the Group Stages are operating with wage budgets ten times the size of ours.

Have released Bonazzoli 10k a week was on far too much also started off with a 10-1 aggregate win in the Europa League against a poor team but they had 0 shots in the 2nd leg! Also Holender from the under 19 team looks class and has had 2 amazing games 3 goals 2 man of the matches and one assist!

It's a tough situation with Bonazzoli, but that is part of the challenge.

As for the youth system, they do have some good prospects so could be worth investing some time in there.

I managed to get rid of him for a small fee in January of the first season. Also sold one of the youth players for about £1m to one of the Qatari teams who often pay ridiculous money for average players.

This winter break is the most boring period of Football Manager i've ever faced.

No money or wages to buy anyone, and no matches, for 72 days.

Also little tip, may be a little late for some of you, I loaned out all my kids and backups for 100% wages to cut my own wage bill allowing me to pick up some free transfers.

Wasn't able to sell anyone for money and didn't want to transfer list too many who would wind up staying.

Also bought former Tottenham keeper Marton Fulop but he can't play until December because of a tumour. Didn't realise when I first got him!
