Mark Hughes is a terrible manager. They would have been better sticking with Warnock.

I hate the way he goes about his transfer policy as well. Oh he looks good on paper lets get him.

Just was waiting for the reply to make sure it didn't hit his arm \o/ Great, great finish though. Shelvey should have scored.

What a cowardly challenge from Coloccini, could have been a very bad injury there.

Their goal was horribly defended by us.

Had that free kick just gone in it would've been the jammiest way to lose.

Suarez's goal was fucking awesome.

Unlucky to not get 3 points but Newcastle defended really well so I guess a draw is about right. Thought Shelvey's substitution was odd, it didn't really change anything and he was largely useless when he came on.

Some Toon fans going mental at Sterling for kicking out at Simpson. Couldn't tell from my stream but it looked like nowt. Anyone got a gif of it or something?

Stoke's former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Michael Owen on Twitter: "Not having Coloccini's red card at all. He didn't touch him and to say there was intent is laughable. Let me tell you, he kicks a moving ball a thousand times a day and doesn't miss it once. If he wanted to connect with a standing leg then he wouldn't have missed. He pulls out at the last minute and doesn't touch him. Not having that's a red at all."

Really Michael? What a tit

I turned away and saw Colo walking and thought "What the fuck?"

I'm not sure if it was a red card - there's an angle where it looks like Colo makes no contact, and another where he basically stamps him to the floor. But he was asking for trouble going in the way he did. Certainly I'm more aware that Sterling went through Cisse just after half-time, which could also have been a red and probably would've been if it wasn't for Gerrard telling the ref not too.

I'm pretty content with a point given our dreadful record at Anfield, mind

He hardly touches him, but its still a straight red card and well played the ref for giving him it.

Absolutely no way that Sterling challenge was a red card.

The one where he takes the ball and his momentum takes Cisse? Might have missed another one, on the odd occasion I had to go and grab a beer from the fridge.
