George14brfc - They really splashed the cash for players and contracts so it is no surprise for me. An added bonus.
DanW19 - Agreed interesting. I was no way going to leave Academica but surprised that I wasn't offered the role. A rivalry has formed.
He's not playing because he is injured and he's had time to think. Dangerous. Will ask him to reconsider. Otherwise it is now or never.

Another player who is set to retire at the end of the season. Medel has been an absolutely outstanding when called upon. Been a shrewd signing for the club.

How the season has panned out so far. Undefeated in the league which is incredible. Outstanding comeback against Olhanense so much dog to be seen there. In the Champions League we are providing the shock package, sides can't cope with the simple style of football we are playing. We have caught many of the big dogs off guard with it and long may it continue.
Despite winning all league games, the might and strike force of Porto are dominating the league. We will no doubt get a chance later in the season to set the record straight but the major difference is they are not playing European football and therefore won't run out of puff like they did last season.
Shock exit for the free spending Monaco. Even bigger is that we ended top.
Cymro
Good news if true. He's been at Porto for 10 seasons and made them into a real force. If he leaves I am pretty confident we can sweep them aside and inset our dominance in the league.

Signed as extra experience in the central of midfield.

Just a bit of transfer dealings to come in in July 2024. All three on frees.

George14brfc - Porto are a thorn in my side.
KEZ_7 - I hope they do.
DanW19 - If they don't hopefully I will get some re-sale value out of them.
Central mid looks like a quality prospect, we somehow have produced another right back ... all we seem to do.

Got one over Porto which is always good. Another piece of silverware for the cabinet.

How the season panned out. We got lucky in a lot of games. We managed to scrape through many of the important cups to get us to finals. Carlos Fierro has been an absolute monster for us this season. In 50 games scoring 39 goals and 29 goals in 28 league appearances. Porto worked us hard. The loss against them I thought was going to be the turning point in the league. However it didn't prove to be. Porto had some random results and struggled to finish sides off. It allowed our momentum to gather and claim the league.
We won the league quite clearly in the end. Porto fell away quite dramatically. At one stage they never looked like running out of steam and that worried me. But in the end we managed to hold on.
Champions League Final next ...

We dressed for the prom, got our name called out for Prom Queen winner but only for it to be snatched away on route to the stage. The stats show a different story to the game. We did well, but we missed our chances. Missing the might of Carlos Fierro upfront was a bitter blow for us. Transfer listed David did well, but he missed many a key chance. Tottenham just took what they got given from us. They dominated possession but really they played in their own half. Real sad to lose in the final but what it has shown we are capable of going and reaching the final. Next season the aim is to be back here in the final and maybe it maybe our turn for that trophy. For now, time to re-assess the squad, strengthen and train hard.

I think it is good news. Didn't really say on the information screen we were paying rent but we must have been. At the moment the crowds are not flocking here, on average we are just under half full which is disappointing considering the brand of attacking football we are playing and the success the club is having at the moment. Not moaning. Not curious.

Signed to be that midfielder who was going to to revolutionize our team. Sadly he flopped badly. Didn't adapt and it became clear that the Uruguayan international was not what we needed. Sold him for quite a handsome profit of £3.2million. Cannot argue with that.
Cymro
Success from Portugal, us and Porto have meant the league stature has increased. Which is excellent. Only one spot but the more it climbs the better the players we can attract.
Rather large leap so that is good.
Cymro
Not going to ever progress at the club and I am pretty confident he won't become a real superstar so it is a good deal for the club to see him move on.
Cymro
Been an absolute stalwart for the club. Sad to see him retire. Will try and bring him back to the club as a coach.
Cymro
Career of the greatman, pity it could not include one final Champions League medal.
Cymro
Overachievers, meh. We played well and deserved the league. Fierro was a monster.

Have Benfica just got awful over the season? Just saw they finished 12th?
Cymro
They did win the League in the 2014-15 season but since that. Been on a decline, with them sacking managers right, left and center.

Forever growing. It has grown quite considerably since I took over. But really would like it to be over 20,000 by the time I leave.

Sold our talisman, seen limited action in the last two years and an offer I couldn't refuse.
Put in a transfer request start of last season, saw no bids come in for him. He then throughout the season tried to come off it but I wasn't having any of it. Then managed to get a bid and off he went. Sad to see him go because on his day he was a world beater, but 9 times out of 10 he wouldn't produce.
