2018 October Euro Qualifiers – San Marino
A decent performance away against Montenegro. I mean, no goals or points, but we held out for pretty long which is nice I suppose, even some pops at goal. Still, a 4 out of 10 performance in the grand scheme.
Hapless at home against France. I mean, not too much I could do. After saving this result, did some demos with different tactics and players, shellacked every-time. Just one of those games where the gap is too monumental for me to even consider a result in the form of a goal or points. 1.5 out of 10

Almost dropped points at home to Virtus....lost a 3-0 lead and Tomassini saved our blushes. An unconvincing performance to start off a month that would be rife with disappointment.
A fucking SHIT performance at home against Pisa. Starting to drop points and feel the twinge of FM annoyance due to poor performances
Dammit. Should have picked up something away at Bari. But it was a decent performance and we outplayed them, just couldn't put it in the back of the net as many times as they could. shit...
A nil-nil draw away at Cremonese is a poor performance, but I suppose aside from dropped points, at least it isn't a fucking loss. blagh

2018 November Friendlies – San Marino
Meh, an okay performance in the 2-5 loss at home to Hungary. Balázs Dzsudzsák did a number on me throughout the game. A bright spot is Tomassini did get himself a solid brace against some pretty good competition!

Continued our poor fall form with the first two games of November ending 0-1 and 0-3.
But then, we followed up these results with their exact opposites! a 1-0 then 3-0 victory! Hopefully the turnaround is upon us and winter comes in the mose glorious of fashion!
P.S. Apologies on the lack of updates recently, been swamped with work! Hopefully will get back in the groove soon.

2018 Matches
Started off frustratingly not being able to hold onto the win at home against Andorra, then another "blood boiler"
1st Best Elevevn without Simoncini in the net. The times they are a changing.
An okay 2018, definitely our best year since 2014, so things may finally be on the up!!!

Serie B & TIM Cup
Ugh....a terrible away performance at Parma saw us lose a a game 0-2. Another worrying scoreless performance at this level.
A decent performance in the TIM Cup saw us lose just 0-1 away at Fiorentina. We weren't quality enough to make a run at the Coppa Italia so I was satisfied by how far we got.
A quality 4-1 home victory against Latina!
A lucky 1-0 victory at Vicenza but 3 points nonetheless. I'll take it as we make the push to establish ourselves in the Serie B.
A shocking home draw against Modena at home, need to be rescued at the end by Graziano Pellè (SOUTHAMPTON'S NEW SIGNING IRL
A shit away performance saw us lose 0-3 away at Cesena. I don't even know what happened...just awful.
Wow.
MUST step it up in 2019 to finish in a decent position in the league. Also may have to strengthen a bit in January and definitely will over the summer.

The lone January performance was a trash home 1-3 loss to Benevento. A shit start to 2019...not what we needed nor what I had hope for. Need to turn la primavera around guys or we will be in for a rough end of the season

Signed some solid Sammarinese youth to train up. Sunday is a solid German/Nigerian RB for this level. Needed some young cover for the position as I am letting Vandenbroeck go at the end of the year; the Belgian is a rotational player who can cover either fullback that I signed a few years ago. Büchel is an Austrian CM I loaned from league leaders Cagliari, as I need cover for the position since I am allowing Sala to leave at the end of the year to Cremonese, and I don't play a player when they reject a contract from me and sign with someone else in the league; so Sala will wallow in the reserves until June 30th when he can bugger off. Additionally, I may need to revamp the whole center of my park in the coming seasons, and who better to anchor it than an older John Obi Mikel on a free! A fantastic signing for my club!!!

Started off with an OKAY (at best) 1-1 draw away at Lanciano. Casieri is starting to come into his own for me which is promising!
A poor, scorless 0-1 defeat at home against Empoli. This month looked to be another in shambles.
Huzzah! A 2-0 victory away at bottom club Virtus with Casieri continuing to showcase with the brace of goals scored in the match!
A much needed home victory over Bari, with some of the seasoned guard getting on the score-sheet and leading us to the 3 points.
YES! A revenge away victory over Pisa! It was a real back and forth game and I'm not sure we deserved anything out of it,much less the 3 points, but Sessa's first goal of the year gave us possibly the three points to help us finish the season strong!
After an unbelievable start, then a very believable fall, we are back amongst it! Sitting in 5th with a chance to really decide our own fate up here at the pinnacle of the Italian 2nd division!

Early Spring 2019 Matches – San Marino
UEFA Euro 2020 Championship Qualifier
Positives to be taken from this 3-9 away defeat to Romania. As it has been noted on this sntallment of FM, Romania get godly as the years pass, and this save is no different. Despite this, we went into halftime 0-5, I reamed em, came out and Peluso, an Apriliani man to make it 2-5, before more scoring was done including Tomassini continuing to add to his international strikes to end at a disappointing scoreline of 3-9, but a game full of positives!

Welp....that run in.
Very solid home victory over promote Parma gave me hope it just may be on the cards a magical season, however after relinquishing a 2-0 lead to draw Latina I started to have my doubts.
A clutch 3-2 home victory over Vicenza would be the last points picked up by the Apriliani in the 2018/19 season, their first in Serie B.
The garbage run in started out with a 0-1 away loss to Modena, a game in which we dominated but in the end poor finishing cost us.This was followed by a 1-2 home loss to eventual champions Cesena. The icing on the shit cake that was our run in, was the 2-5 away defeat to Cagliari it goes great with their 1-6 defeat of us at our place
Meh, considering our 2nd half of the season, I suppose 11 isn't too far off of what we deserve, although I can't deny wanting a higher spot finish due to our hot start!
Oh well, on to next year!

Don't fret! Recall that I didn't need the promotion to Serie A brcause of finances. What happened was the goals dried up from my key men: Isoufi, Pellè and Barbato. Also we were hit with some significant injuries and I just didn't have the quality depth to continue competing at the highest level! I will be making enormous moves this summer, stay tuned!

Ass man handled. Okay showing for preseason. Time to get down to business though, after last season's meltdown I decided to go for some solid tranfer pickups.

Was very pleased with the intake of a couple Sammarinese youngsters. Messaoudi is a solid (but slow) French/Moroccan ST who was brought in to give depth to the position since I let both Pellè and Florian go; those who once owned for me are now gone. In addition to the two up front men, Sala the MC left after I wouldn't pay him out the ass, Vandenbroeck just wasn't getting any games so I decided to let him ply his trade elsewhere, Rante hadn't gotten a game in a while even though he was so crucial in my early years with Aprilia, and the other two were young squad midfielders.
Pritchard and Silvestri were the two pickups to slot into the starting line-up and give us some power on a weakened defense and midfield. My Sammarinese boys can put up a fight, but I need some actual fighters to make it an Apriliani Serie A!
