The Platypus
Strange. It's almost like a club legend currently playing for their biggest title rivals just equalised against them in an away game, in the 85th minute.
Tommo.
Carroll.
It hurt didn't it?

Touche
Number 1
He sure didn't.
Even better that he beat John Terry to the ball in reaching Milner's cross.
I miss Ba.

bluemoon.
Not 100% sure if the red card actually was a red (I haven't seen any replays yet) but Mike Dean had a shocker overall. The only thing to really annoy me about that game.
SpinSwimScream
They were both definitely yellows IMO
Blaze
I don't quite know how Costa stayed on the pitch. Surely that was a red card offence grabbing Zabaleta
The Platypus
Definitely a yellow, but he could've probably gotten a few additional yellows across the game.
bluemoon.
Just watching MOTD now. It's not making Mike Dean look any better, Zabaleta's first shouldn't have been a yellow and Yaya should really have had a penalty.
Carroll.
Crane
How utterly childish.
Slashman X
Crane
Yeah, much less childish.

what did he say?

Vardy getting loads of headlines but imagine it had been Ashley Young who had won that penalty, would be ridiculed for diving.
Mangala looked absolutely class for City. Still feel Chelsea will win the league comfortably and it will be a battle between Spurs/Arsenal/Liverpool/United for the third and fourth spots.
Carroll.
Pretty much said Lampard doesnt love Chelsea anymore cause he signed for City

We sold 4 defenders, 1 of whom was Büttner, Ferdinand who was completely finished and Vidic who looks like he is as well too, got rid of Cleverley, Kagawa, Hernandez, Welbeck, Bebe and Nani and would probably have got rid of Young too if we'd had a buyer and would have got rid of Fellaini if he'd actually fuck off. So that's -2 defenders, +2 midfielders, -2 wingers and -1 striker hardly doing nothin about the balance of the squad. In fact the most encouraging thing about LVG is how ruthless he was with the dead wood even if I wish we'd kept welbeck
The Rooney special privileges quote is wrong as well.
The weird thing is that we had these weird implosions under ferguson too recently starting with city 6-1, including Everton 4-4 and west brim 5-5. Seemingly it has no relation to whose actually playing either.
Chera
Also how is the Rooney special privileges quote wrong? 'My captain shall always play and normally the goalkeeper'. To me that is him saying Rooney will always play.
Ninja
Besides, the problems not so much the quality of the individuals but their combined ability to do utterly braindead things when partnered with each other and the inability of any 2 players to stay fit long enough to form a partnership. It's imperative that one of Smalling, Jones, and Evans stays fit all season (preferably Jones and he's probably the best of the 3 and the most natural leader).
And if Rooney plays fucking shite he'll be stripped of the captaincy. His special privilege is being captain, but that doesn't mean thats his inherent right. The fact van Gaal has already said he doesn't really rate him as a striker would worry me greatly if I was Rooney, because it will become increasingly apparent, too, that he doesn't offer more than Mata in midfield.
Carroll.
Sam
Big mistake making him captain, after losing Evra, Vidic and Rio there's a lack of leadership. And Rooney isn't doing a good job.

Carroll.
Hence we didn't win last year.
