He is completely shit in the transfer market though. Didn't he refuse a Director of Football or whatever too in his latest contract? Something like that

I really hope you're saying that to try and get in on the Rodgers bashing, rather than actually believing it.

Rodgers cost you points on many occasions with the way he approached games. The mentality of "well score more than you" was all well and good when Suarez was in the team and firing like he was, with the added bonus of a fit Sturridge to compliment. Not playing smart percentage football contributed to dropped points and such a dismal defensive record, particularly in that Chelsea game.

The start to this season further showcases these flaws in his methods of management.

And he won us many points with his approach to games.
No shit.
We wouldn't have been where we were playing smart percentage football. We probably shouldn't have been so gung-ho against a Chelsea team that wasn't going to move from the edge of the box, when a draw would have been enough to keep us top, but you can't blame Rodgers for an untimely slip from Gerrard.

We've played awfully this season, but writing off last season as more down to Suarez and giving Rodgers no credit is fucking retarded and you know it.

It's a ridiculous thing to say - you can't blame Rodgers for relying on Suarez last season then slating him this season when it was probably out of his hands the decision to sell him.

He's clearly a decent manager - maybe not good enough to take Liverpool to the league title but that's hardly a blot on anybodies copy book. They've been bang average for years and he gave them their best season since Rafa.

Wasn't even such a mentality that we'll score more than you, that's just bought up by the fact we scored loads and had a shit defence at the same time, Rodgers definitely didn't have us go out just to outscore the opposition. He used the strengths (Suarez and Sturridge mainly) to get us into winning position, knowing defence is our weak point, something he has been trying to work on, clearly.

People also seem to quickly forget the run of wins that lead to us being in a position where we could have won the league, its easy to concentrate on that one game against Chelsea as a mistake but we went like 16 games unbeaten before that and most other seasons a team doing that would have won the league, of course its easy in hindsight to say x game cost us but it really doesn't tell the whole story.

I like the predictions on the BBC site this week - Mark Lawrenson vs FM 2015 vs Miles Jacobson

Gerrard, Sterling, Henderson etc back in for Liverpool, although Kolo Toure is on the bench which I'm surprised at after his midweek performance. Thought Lallana did well against Madrid too but Coutinho replaces him.

That's how easy it is now we have goal line technology. I don't think that goal would have been given without it, so difficult to tell in real time.

Did Ramires just punch Sterling and get a free kick?

Chelsea getting touchy about us not kicking the ball out when they had the chance to kick it out as well

We've been woeful again. Didn't deserve anything from that game. Although we should have had a pen at the end.

I think my tweet to BBC summed up that penalty appeal quite well...

We finished 3 points ahead of Chelsea last year, now we are 15 behind after only 11 games. Shambles.

Not the prettiest of wins, but we won, that's what matters.

A clean sheet as well. Blimey.

Watch Clichy dive in and completely put himself out the game, he's absolutely useless nowadays.

What exactly was the second one disallowed for? Surely the punishment for Hart would've been the concession.

Not that it matters given MCFC have been shite before and after that.

He touched it twice when it was free kick apparently it should have been an indirect free kick to QPR.

He's really weird. He switches almost at will between being a quick, competent defender and complete liability.

It wasn't a free-kick because the ball didn't leave the penalty area (which it turns out is a rule).

Ah ok! I was just going by what Gary Neville said in commentary.
