This file will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 15 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed. It will also fix the fact that the German National team doesn't call up real players. These are fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for German, Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, with 26 media files added to encompass all major footballing nations and continents. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all these files to work, however, you will need to start a new game.
Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical, although of course you use the equivalent folder for FM15.
Or, you can follow the below instructions to install v2.0 of this file (if you are installing a previous version please use the 1500 folder instead of the 1530 folder:

Step 8: This should be what your editor data folder looks like. There may also be a config.xml file in this folder and can be safely retained; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly. Club names (including the German ones) are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.

Club Name Fixes are effected through the dbc files, which are not save game compatible. They will work fine in the full game.
Actually, it appears to be consistent with people who don't read the installation instructions or don't apply them well. I have no idea if you are referring to the German national team, or to German club names, but both work perfectly fine.

Firstly, this file doesn't change anything about the South Korean national team, I wasn't aware there is an issue in the first place. If the German national team is fine, the Japanese will be too.

As you would have seen in the screenshots if you'd bothered to see them, this fix is already in this file.
Please make sure you use this year's version of this download and not other years'. Have you downloaded any other editor data files at all?
I did not mention the 1511 folder anywhere at all, so please don't add an unnecessary level of complexity. These files go in data>db>1500, simples
Are you sure you've downloaded this file and not something else? Or another year's? The Conference has the correct sponsor name and Hiddink is fine in my game
It's your mac log in username you should use, I would think.
Please don't modify files if you don't know what you're doing. There's three folders you should transfer as per the installation instructions and none of their contents need to be modified in any way for them to work as intended. If you mess things up, then I can't really take responsibility for anything you do, I'm afraid.
If you do things correctly (which there's no reason why you shouldn't), then there's no real downside imo. You don't have to load all those databases, but having them in your game only enhances the realism. Of course, you can pick and choose which to load and which not.

I have deleted the original Inc and edt files and replaced them with the files from the download.
Sorry if this have been answered before. I didn't find anything. I hope this is fixable!

I never mentioned anything about deleting the dbc folder! Check if it's in your Recycle Bin and put it back in there.
Otherwise, load Steam, right click on FM15 and click properties then navigate to the local files tab and click the button to" verify the integrity of the game cache". This will recreate the dbc folder, but also some items in the edt and lnc folders, so you'll need to re-apply this download. And pay attention to the instructions this time
Where's the dbc, edt and lnc folders?? Follow the steps above to get them again.
Then DELETE the edt and lnc folder and REPLACE them with the ones from this download.

I have no idea what you've done and where. I never mentioned anything to do with the 1500_fmc folder and I've no idea why and what you've decided to place them there, let alone deleting the dbc folder, which I never mentioned anywhere.
To be safe, delete the 1500_fm and 1500_fmc folders and, as described above, verify the integrity of the game cache. This will restore all your files to the original installation.
Then DELETE the edt and lnc folders ONLY and REPLACE them with the folders from this download.
Then place the FM15 Real Names Fix Files from sortsitoutsi.net v1.0 folder in the editor data folder.
If you have any issues, re-read the installation instructions CAREFULLY.

It's a download, you click it, then file is transferred onto your computer and then you apply it according to the installation instructions. Which part of that are you not figuring out?

Man Utd is the short name in the game, while Manchester United is the long name. Same for Sheffield Wednesday. Not sure what's the problem or what you think should be corrected.
