mr.SPANKY
He just came back and has only played 1 game
mr.SPANKY
I seriously love this guy, his 3rd was an absolute belter from just past the half into the top corner.
mr.SPANKY
Had to field a pretty much entirely rotated squad due to the closeness of the last fixture so am delighted with the result even though Chester are sitting 20th you never know with a rotated squad and Jakobsson got his first goal for us
And on that note :
mr.SPANKY
Am almost certain their goal was offside and then Oshodi goes off injured and is now out for 3 weeks.
Suppose results don't matter as much as keeping everyone fit seeing as we have qualified for the playoffs but the problem is we can't seem to keep everybody fit

Draw against top of the table in a game where not much happened. They have run away with the league so not to concerned with a win or a loss here and made a few rotational changes to try not have anyone else injured for the playoffs.
The man Rodgers again, wish he was 18 lol
mr.SPANKY
Finished the regular season with a draw, we were 5 points clear of 3rd so I started an entirely rotated squad going from least appearances to most.
Had one of the better defences and it showed, lost the least amount of games over the season but 16 draws is massive, turn a few of those into wins and we could have had a better run at the title.
3 players with top averages over the season, Rodgers milllllles out in front in goalscoring, Norwood up there with assists and if I remember correctly had a lengthy lay off with injury so should have had more, Jennings despite his 3 red cards had the most key passes from left back which is sensational and Arnold as the 2nd best keeper in the league.
Great effort from all. We drew Barnet in the playoffs and the games are scheduled for 30th April and 3rd May so both fall within my timeframe but I will ask Itchy if he wants to take over instead of just giving him the final (provided I even win the playoff semi)
mr.SPANKY
This isn't good, 2nd time in this stint alone and I also had it once before in my last stint.
mr.SPANKY
Drab draw but we go to the home leg without a defeat.

Dominant win, had all the ball and restricted them to only 1 shot on target. Viera's goal was a flukey one from the wing, went for a cross and it just seemed to roll through everyone into the net. Mezague had the ball fall to him from outside the box and powered home. Guthrie finished it with a well worked goal, eventually coming from the right to Mezague who drew a defender and took the goalkeeper to the right before passing left to Guthrie who put it into an almost empty net.
Onto Itchy and Nuneaton

You have got to be fucking kidding me
I gave him the injection, it is up to Itchy if he plays or not.

A new one year deal. I tried to get a longer contract, but they wouldn't have it. They did however offer the contract before the Play off final.
itchycoo
Such a well written script! First Oshodi scores, pumped up with all kinds of drugs to ensure he could play this match. Then The Kluk scores the winning goal in the 75:th minute! (And Rodgers scored just because he doesn't know better)
As if anyone would ever doubt him!

So this comes as no surprise:
He was also named Player of the Year in the the league.

Some transfer news
Parkin and Russell (2nd keeper) decided to retire and one of the old center backs I forgot his name left on a free. That freed up some wage budget and I brought in thees guys:
Pacey winger with good crossing and finishing as well. On a free.
Some great mental and physical stats. I think he can do the job. Also on a free.
And I splashed the entire budget of 43 000 Euros on one guy:
You knew it had to be done.
itchycoo
This didn't last long as I stumbled across this 16 year old defender.
He's got it all really. A bit slow maybe, but I guess we could try to put him on a special training program. I paid 70 K (euro, so I guss about 55 in pounds), if I had just signed him, Salisbury were to have around 350 if I remember it right.
Now over to you Fola!
Shedender
itchycoo
Yes, I believe it was necessary. For a lot of reasons, one of them is your following, Shedender.
Shedender
Ha, everyone can just sense the sarcasm in the bold.
itchycoo
I do appreciate that you're following this, and your love bombing of the Kluk!

I'll try get this done tonight, if not it'll be done definitely tomorrow.

...And the Kluk of course!!
mr.SPANKY
Also that kid you signed looks sensational.

Signed 4 new players before the season is about to start.
Young centre back Cheyenne Dunkley becomes FGR's record ever transfer. He has great attributes for a centre back in this league however he's quite slow but the rest of his stats are class.
John Rooney arrives from Chester. Brilliant all round attributes, top, top player.
Strong target man, arrives as back up for Luke Rodgers. Also a direct replacement for Parkin who retired.
Back up keeper to Arnold, don't ever expect him to play.
