Returning To Wales - 2028
A return to Austria last season proved more than successful with me ticking that country off now. I am now making a second trip to another country, Wales, a place where I've really not had much luck. Last time in Wales I lasted just under two hundred days in charge and this was a horror time at Rhyl. This time I feel like I'm a little better set up for the task ahead.
This is TNS history of managers and its a little strange. Craig Harrison spent ten years in charge and left in 2025 and it appears since then they have failed to appoint a new manager, until the nineteenth of June. They then seemed to hire Jack Everitt, without a date and he left the day that Wales was loaded in, some sort of bug/glitch maybe?
This wasn't going to bother me too much though as I chucked my application straight in. It was either TNS or Rhyl FC and you know what happened at Rhyl last time! All went well and I got an interview, once again all went well and they soon offered me the job with a small transfer budget available to strengthen this year.
The three competitions in Wales are all yet to be won by myself, so my next task is to try and win all three. As you can see TNS have absolutely dominated the league since the start of this career, losing just one title in fifteen years! The last six years have also seen them claim the FAW Welsh Cup six times in a row. Their history has been a little more jaded in the Nathaniel Car Sales League Cup but with six cup wins in the last seven years, I'm hopeful!
* I will post the TNS team at the end of pre season.

TNS - Pre Season Update 2028
So the summer has come and gone and I won't do a big deal of the transfers in and out this summer as I didn't show you the team before hand so it won't help. I haven't needed to spend much, just three thousand pounds for a keeper but the rest were on free transfers in and out of the club this year.
I'm not sure whats going on in the ratings, I'm hoping its because we are expected to win the league with ease and this leads the ratings to struggle a bit. But I will see on the pitch. The players with the 'great' ratings are the ones I have just brought in.
On the pitch its not been brilliant. We crashed out the Champions League. The First Knockout Round first leg was played before I took charge, my first game in charge was the eight nil win away at Sant Julia. We then went on to lose to Botev over two legs. Our friendly results saw us lose two but win three, the three we did win saw us keep three clean sheets.

I think you could be spot on there DP91 especially when you see how we've started the season
TNS - August 2028
Life back in Wales was about to kick off here in the year of 2028 and for my second stint in Wales I was with TNS, hoping things would go much smoother than it went with Rhyl last time around. With four games across two competitions to kick off my reign here in Wales, would it be a near perfect start?
Well, maybe I didn't need to be so concerned about the reports on the squad I've got. We've started the season with four wins from four games and advancing in the League cup which is pleasing. Our defence is very leaky, thats for sure but we are also scoring for fun which has been pleasing, score more than you concede could be the main objective here.
A trip to my former club Rhyl was first up and I'm pleased I returned there to pick up all three points. Kidd netted first for us with Nolan making it two nil in sixteen minutes. We conceded either side of the break before Nolan struck his second to secure a three two victory.
At home, my first home game in the league saw us welcome Prestatyn who we beat two one. We trailed at the break and things weren't looking good. Second half we came back though, late on to. Ofori netting nine minutes from time before Nolan struck five minutes from time to secure the win.
A trip to Connah's Quay saw us play a ten goal thriller and win six four. Our goals came from five different scorers. Williams netted the only first half goal for us. Nolan, McShane and Collins all netted one each whilst Wycherley grabbed a brace, his last coming in injury time, disappointed with our leaky defence here though.
Finally we kickstarted the League Cup and after getting a bye in the first round we faced Airbus UK in the Second Round and won six three. Nolan made it five goals in four game to kick off the season for himself. Wycherley netted four goals here to take his tally to six in two games before Sargeant netted two minutes from time.
Three played and three won! We sit top of the table and a point clear whilst we also have a game in hand which could see us move four points clear should we win it. Its not easy just yet but I'm more than happy with the way we've started this season, just need to keep it going now.

TNS - September 2028
I've started lift being back in Wales extremely well winning four from four in the opening month. Now into September we needed to try and keep that form up and with any luck we could move away at the top a little more. Wales could be ticked off quickly here if all was to go well.
Five games throughout September but whilst our form didn't remain the same as it was last month, we still remained in both competitions that we need to be. Two wins, one draw and a defeat in the league as well as a victory in the League Cup Third Round helped towards another successful month.
At first we welcomed Airbus UK who we beat two one. Both our goals came in the opening four minutes which came from Nolan and Wycherley. We conceded before the break but that was the game, two one victory.
A trip to Port Talbot saw us blow the lead late on and end up settling for a point against the current second placed side. We fell behind early on before Cowlishaw levelled just after the half hour mark. Second half an own goal put us in front but just a couple minutes later we conceded and slipepd to settle for a point.
Non league side Rhydymwyn then came to us in the League Cup Third Round and as expected we won with ease. Nolan netted two goals as well as Jennings grabbing one. All three of our goals came in the opening twenty seven minutes whilst we conceded a second half goal.
A poor showing against Llangefni saw us lose our first game of the season, losing one nil at home.
We bounced back though with a four one win over Bala away from home. Nolan and Williams netted inside four minutes to put us two up. Williams had a second in the nineteenth minute to put us three to the good. We conceded one before the break before Sargeant netted five minutes after the restart securing the victory.
We sit top of the pile after seven games having won five, drawn one and lost one. We are clear of Bangor City by just two points whilst third place Connah's Quay are just five points behind. So as expected early days its all close but hopefully something helps us clear the pack soon.

TNS - October 2028
Into October and we were set to face another short month. With us on top of the league we needed to try and continue that form. We'd only have four league games this month as the short months continued. But could we get back on to a consistant run of form?
Yes, a great month for us winning all four of our games. We faced just the four games all month, all in the league and all turned into victories. Unfortunately we only kept one clean sheet but we scored another fifteen goals throughout this month.
First up we welcomed second place side Bangor City who we beat narrowly six four in the ten goal thriller. Guthrie and Wycherley both netted superb braces throughout the game. Williams converted and early penalty whilst Price netted the final goal of the game coming in the final minute of time.
Welcomed Aberstwyth we kept a clean sheet! Thats been rare this season but a three nil win was superb. Williams netted a brace, his first after just three minute. He grabbed his second in the second half whilst Wycherley netted in injury time.
Our only game on the road this month saw us take a trip to Afan Lido who we beat four one. Another strong showing. Barlone netted after eight minutes with Guthrie making it two nil in seventeen minutes. Williams made it three in twenty seven minutes before we conceded in injury time of the first half. Barlone netted a late second.
We ended the month with a win over struggling Cefn Druids as we narrowly won two nil. Wycherley netting after two minutes before Farley made it two nil four minutes into the second half. We conceded in injury time.
The perfect month in the league has certainly helped things out. We now move nine points clear of Bangor City in second place and we have now played through a third of the league season. Port Talbot, Connah's Quay and Bala sit eleven points behind us all tied on seventeen points in third, fourth and fifth.

TNS - December 2028
Into the final month of the calender year, in fact, we flew into it in fine form as we were flying nine points high in the league and clear of the rest of the pack. Sitting in the League Cup Final and had advanced to the Welsh Cup Fourth Round. I was beginning to wonder if anyone or anything was going to stop us scooping the treble this year.
Just the one game for December and it came on the first day of the month. We welcomed Connah's Quay and stuffed them three nil with a superb second half showing. Farley put us infront four minutes after the restart before Guthrie made it two nil two minutes later. There was a third goal which came late on as Sargeant netted six minutes from time. But why was there only one game in December.
What the ****!!!! What a joke! failure to improve squad harmony, what sort of poor reason is that to kick me from the job where we are leading the way in the league by nine points, sitting in a cup final and fourth round of the other cup! If the players can't grow up a little bit thats their fault! What a joke! I'm out of Wales and won't be coming back for a long while yet!
I'm now open to suggestions, where do I go next? You help decide...

I like the call's for Holland and as previously mentioned myself Turkey. One of Europe's second / third tier nations I suggest such as the two prior suggestions.

Will_FFC both are great shouts!
Thanks Johno, sure was!
Yes Simoncoyne its stopped me wanting to come back here for a while!
Its ridiculous DP91 but I guess it happens, but its not like we were in bad form or anything, a few players whinging and the manager is the one who gets booted! Its a joke if you ask me! Holland is my favorite shout at the moment but Turkey would be good too!

What next...
Took your advice and went with what proved to be the most popular choice. The Netherlands will be the next place I try and conqour. I am now in June of 2029 so it will load in over the next month or so. Wales will once again be moved out of the selection and England will be cut down to just the Championship and Premier League! Lets hope theres a bit more fun in Netherlands than there was at Wales!

Welcome To Holland - 25th September 2029
So its been a while since I was last in a job. Ten months ago I was sacked from TNS, wrongly so I must say as we were flying in the league. But this done it for me, Wales was removed from the game for a second time after a second failed stint there. And after leaving it with you, the majority voted for joining the Netherlands, so here is the next part of the journey.
Excelsior is the place of choice, I say choice, when I loaded the game in July there were no jobs available, so I've had to be patient and eventually a job came up. They sit in the second of two playable tiers in Holland and have struggled a bit from the start of the league season and sacked their manager. Naturally I applied and got offered the interview then the job. Now having signed, I start another journey.
The squad genuinely looks very good, well for the league they sit in at least, however it just seems like they aren't scoring enough goals. Just six goals scored between the whole team is very difficult to explain, hopefully the usual working tactic and hopefully I can take them a little higher than their current sitting position...
They are predicted to finish ninth this season by the media, but as shown above, the board are expecting at least a playoff finish so they want us to go for it. Hopefully we can be a little more attacking and on the front foot from now on. And with any luck, we can begin to climb the table and jump into a playoff spot.

Excelsior - September/October 2029
The Netherlands was the new country to be in and I was hoping it would be a much better stint here in Holland than it has been twice in Wales. I'd say I've got my work cut out compared to the last few jobs I had, especially in England where I walked the leagues by being at the right ''relegated team' each year.
Armando Karic is my first signing here at Excelsior. I found him on a free transfer and really think he'll be able to be our 'Eden Dzeko' of the Netherlands lower league. Really happy with grabbing him on a free and a good value he already holds. You can also see his history to see how he has started this season for us.
Two games at the end of September which kicked off my reign here in Holland before facing four games in September. Its been a mixed start to my reign here. Three wins and three defeats, disappointed my first game in charge ended up being in the cup and crashing out. But we did pick up two superb six nil wins.
My first game in charge was against top tier side Heracles and lost out three two. We started well, despite going one down Kersten and Eyongakpa sending us two one ahead. Second half we conceded one early and then went on to concede again in injury time which saw us slip out the cup, expectedly so though.
A trip to FC Eindhoven was up next and my first win came. A trip away from home and a very good win as we ran out four two winners. Prade was superb up top, netting a hatrick, I said we needed to score some more. Eyongakpa also netted to secure the win.
At home we welcomed Achilles'29 who we beat six nil! Superb! Kersten netted two first half goals, Wiegerink and Koyuncu also netted in the first half to see us four nil up. Prade netted whilst Eyogakpa also made it three in three games for himself.
Staying at home we welcomed Helmond Sport and slipped to a narrow two one defeat. We were behind before Frenkie de Jong netted five minutes before the break, making it one a piece. But we conceded second half to slip to defeat.
A trip to Jong PSV saw us welcome Karic for his first game of the season. Kersten gave us the lead whilst Karic netted a superb brace on his debut. Prade also netted a brace, maybe a great partnership is on the cars. Klein wrapped up our second six nil win in three games.
We ended the month with a trip to Jong Twente a game we should of won saw us blow a two nil lead and finish with nine men! Kallah and Karic netted in the opening thirty five minutes. We conceded once before the break. Second half lost two men and slipped to a three two defeat.
Well, we've not made much progress, we've been in the playoff spots this season since I took charge, but we've soon slumped back out of them, delighted to see us scoring more goals this season, just need to keep it going and try tighten up our defence and our discipline this season to fight for promotion.

Excelsior - November 2029
Its been a mixed yet steady start to life here in Holland, its not brilliant but it could of gone a lot worse thats for sure! I was happy with us crashing out the cup, it allowed us to try and focus on the playoffs come the end of the year, that was a long way away yet though.
What a superb month November proved to be! Five wins from five games and we kept three clean sheets which was superb compared to last month. Its good to see Karic still netting a few despite Prade being injured after the first game of the month.
First we welcomed Jong Ajax who we beat two nil. Prade netted first in twelve minutes before de Jong netted six minutes into the second half which saw us win.
Staying at home we welcomed FC Oss who we beat three one. Kersten was our man of the match, played superbly as he netted one before the break and two after the break, the last goal of the game coming four minutes from time as he converted a spot kick.
We then welcomed Dordrecht where we claimed a second two nil win of the month. Karic our man this game, netting a fine brace.
Back to back clean sheets came as we travelled to SC Telstar and won narrowly one nil. The only goal of the game coming with half an hour remaining when Kersten netted from close range.
The month ended with a trip to RKC Waalwijk who we beat two one. Hoekman nette after seventeen minutes with Karic making it two nil in the twenty fourth minute. We conceded one before the break before the goalless second half went.
Five wins on the bounce throughout November has seen us fly up the league table this month and we now sit up in a playoff spot. Not sure whether we'll stay there for long, still a long way away from the top team but hopefully we can just secure a playoff spot now.
