We don't have a choice?

The only players who aren't injured/ill that could have come in aren't match fit (Rafael, Shaw, Smalling) or aren't footballers any more (Fletcher).

If we'd have had any of Di Maria, Fellaini, Blind, Herrera, Januzaj, or Rojo available they would have played. As would Rafael, Shaw or Smalling if they'd been fit enough to play more than 20 minutes.

2 games in 3 days is no big deal. Man up, bloody wimps.

Could be worse I guess, could have spent it on absolute dross like yous did.

Of course, though, we should have a 40 man squad to cover for the fact 9 of our players are unavailable to start games at the minute.

Yeah net spend of about 5 pounds though..

Plus I'm not moaning about the schedule despite the fact we've got Sturridge out for another two weeks

Van Gaal loves whinging though - he always has done. He gets results though.

Meanwhile Poyet just loves whinging.

To be fair to Ninja, I'd complaintoo I my team was the only team in the Premier League with such a hectic schedule.

Oh wait.

Why are Palace doing this?

And why would Pardew be interested in the Palace job?

Because Pardew played for Palace and is earning a pittance at Newcastle due to his gambling debts

BECAUSE PALACE ARE GOING TO PAY HIM IN PINEAPPLE CHUNKS.

No idea.

I'm guessing he's just fed up and sick of Newcastle and wants a return to London would be the most obvious answer right now.

Amazed tbf, first time I can think of when a manager is willing to take an obvious step backwards. Normally the ego just doesn't allow it.

The gambling debt story doesn't make sense. It's literally stupid as fuck.

I heard that until Burnley came up he was the lowest paid manager in the Prem. It was reported he earns 100-250k p/a, which is obviously nothing really for a Premier League manager. Even if it is that bellend

Yeah I'd imagine he probably isn't very well paid he was managing in L1 before he was appointed. Imagine it went up a bit with the new contract and a lot is performance related I think.

Llambias was one of the lowest paid Directors in the League as well. And can't imagine Charnley being on much as well.

What person in their right mind would come in and be under Mike fucking Ashley though? Pulis would want full control of transfers even though his transfer record is possibly the worst I've ever seen.

Apparently he's quadrupling his yearly wages moving to Palace, and as his family still live in the area of London, there's that.

He probably thinks he's just going to end up being sacked at Newcastle because he can never turn the fans around.

He'll never have it better than he's had it up here.

Complete charlatan and a fraud - he'll get Palace relegated I'm sure of it.

Sick of people coming out and saying he was good for Newcastle, his record since his 5th place finish is absolutely atrocious.

I kind of hope he goes to Palace, does a decent job and Newcastle appoint a fan favourite and he gets them relegated.

Not that I think Pardew's great or anything, its just the irony would be delicious.
