Replacement as back up, though he might be better than Arnold. Though I wouldn't replace a goalie who conceded 4 goals in the last ten games...

My last match. Gorman came off the bench to score a late winner.
Got ourselves a six point lead in the league. And a fully fit squad. Not a single injury!

Arnold was on fire and Gorman missed an open net, although he did shoot from the half way line. Plus no injuries

Literally nothing happened in the first half and aside from the 2 goals nothing in the second half. It was over in about 40 seconds lol.

Absolutely nail biter to watch. We had 3 golden opportunities to win this before they went on a counter and got the penalty. Jaw dropped and heart sank. Straight off the kick off we lob it up field and score, then again right before the final whistle we had a chance to steal the game but their goalkeeper was on fire.

Only 2 of our 12 shots were on target. Think I may do some tinkering here.

Heartbreaking to go down in the 90th minute in a game I felt we were slightly better in. We just weren't clinical enough in the first half when we were really dominating.
mr.SPANKY
Absolutely dominated every category in this game and fully deserved the win. Gray and Gorman the superstar subs, both with doubles and both finishing off some great passing movements.
On a sad note though my first injury, Gorman out for 5-6 weeks.

And just like that we come crashing back down to earth. We are now 4 points behind Doncaster in the lead.

I just don't, speechless, no words. Defence is a real issue with me every time it seems. We finally score goals but fuck me did we let some in.

Nolan scores a fantastic header, unfortunately was into our own net. Mackrath has a goal disallowed. By the time we finally broke them down the game was over. We are now 4th but still only 5 points off 1st so time to turn it around I hope.

Still couldn't keep a goal out if we had 11 blokes in goal but good to hold on for the win. We are now 3 points off 1st so hanging in there.

Our defensive woes continue but once we got our 1st it was all us. We are back level pegging with Doncaster now but they have a game in hand.

Fucking bs. Gray has been on fire since taking over from an unhappy Oliver. He has 11 goals in the league and 6 of them have come in my stint.

It's a cruel game, Gorman first game back from injury and inspires a comeback only to get reinjured.
That is the end of my stint and leaves the table like this:
Next game is against Doncaster and could very well decide the league if not at least it will pretty much settle 1 and 2 I think. Two games after that are Blackpool who are lower mid table and Bolton who are already relegated and finally finish with Yeovill. So it is still anyone's league.
I also re signed some players and took off £2800 per week off the wage bill, we have about 5k in the budget now, the only thing is the bonuses in the contracts.

Some good results Spanky. And some horrid. That 7-4 defeat! After winning 4-1 after 22 minutes?!

Managed to stop the top team and catchup with some much needed points. Something tells me this is going to be close.

Saw off a strong Blackpool side. A rare start for old Jeff Hughes and there was some unbelievable scenes when he scored a brace.

How the mighty have slumped. Sad to see Bolton where they are, bottom of the league and really cut adrift from the rest.

Was this enough? We did all that we could to get automatic promotion.
