Speaking from experience I definitely wouldn't choose a broken leg or serious injury over being spat on.

What people are not realising is that 9/10 a player does not deliberately go out to break someones leg, where as being spat at in the face is just a horrible thing to do and of course done completely on purpose. Not a lot different to when Suarez decides to bite someone, though i guess the huge uproar over that is simply because of who it is thats doing it really.

And yes i've had my fair share of injuries too from snapping my Achilles Tendon to doing Medial Ligaments in my knee. It is depressing when you can't play and even worse when you're worried you may not be able to again. But i still rate having someone spit in my face worse than someone injuring me by trying to tackle me for the ball.

I'd rather be spat on than have a malicious/dirty tackle on me though

Kane is now the joint top scorer in the top 4 leagues in all competitions. Our inability to keep a clean sheet is really annoying though.

"Some guys, you think they're intelligent until you hear them speak"

http://www.the42.ie/liam-brady-paul-scholes-1518114-Jun2014/

Liam Brady on Paul Scholes' punditry career in the Summer. Chippy is spot on, Scholes is a massive fucking bellend and just as much of a bore as Michael Owen. You'd think someone of Scholes (overrated imo) ability would actually be able to speak sense, but even he knows fuck all

Paul Scholes basically invented having opinions though. His opinions were just vastly underrated by the typical uneducated English media.

He plays the opinion the way it should be opinioned and at his peak he was the best opinioner in the world - Xavi

And that infamous story of Scholes hitting a tree with an opinion from a full 40 yards.

The Secret Footballer has written a pretty decent article on Adam Johnson/Sunderland in general:

Controversial opinion:

Lukaku to Everton for £28m is a bigger robbery than David Luiz to PSG for £50m

Not really controversial when Lukaku has been muck for much of the season, only really bothered showing up in the last couple of Europa League games

Terrific goal, goal of the season contender.

West Brom scored a very good goal against Stoke just before.

Villa 3-0 up at Sunderland.

Sunderland are dire, knew Sherwood had something about him though.....certainly looking that way.

Flicks it on to see Villa score the third.

Cuts to fans leaving in droves, some things never change. I'm worried about Sunderland today, might not even here 'sing your hearts out for the lads'. Fans now attempting to attack Poyet.

What was Poyet saying?
