Cant find any evidence of Santon and Mbiwa playing at all in the PL last year. And do you really consider Lascellas to have been here last year?

Nah I'm saying they didn't play in the Premier League last year, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have.

Both are better than what we have at the club now.

Anyone got any predictions/thoughts for the season ahead?

Arsenal should be able to do it this year, they are the only ones that have improved on what appears to be a settled squad. If they were to go out and get someone like Higuain or Benzema then for me they would be clear favourites.

Chelsea have only signed a backup goalie and a badly out of form striker and I don't believe that anyone can afford to stand still like they seem to be doing, even if they are the champions. If Mourinho can get Falcao firing though, then they could cause mayhem with him, Hazard and Costa if its possible to get all 3 on the pitch together.

Man Utd will need time to gel with all the new faces that have come in over the last 12 months so they may have a few slip ups here and there.

I don't rate Pellegrini too much and still think Man City lack another good center back to go with Kompany. Aguero must stay fit for them to have any chance again, although it wouldn't surprise me if they go out for another striker before the window closes.

As for everyone else, I reckon Swansea and Stoke could push on a bit and challenge for Europa League places.

Aston Villa and Norwich to go down with either Watford or West Ham Leicester.

Higuain's muck.

Think we're still a way off, especially now Di Maria's gone.

I suspect we'll go in to the game against Spurs like this
De Gea
Darmian
Smalling/Jones (should be Smalling, probably will be Jones)
Blind (and he'll get slaughtered)
Shaw

Schneiderlin
Carrick/Schweinsteiger

Young
Depay
Mata

Rooney

Don't think there's enough goals in that team, nor good enough defensively. Only really need a couple of players but its hard to see us getting them.

Prediction I did on a different board had Chelsea just pipping Arsenal and Man City to the league title, MUFC finishing ahead of Liverpool for 4th, and a bottom 3 of Leicester, Watford and Bournemouth, with Sunderland, Villa and Norwich scraping survival.

I expect half of that to be wrong.

Swansea to get relegated. Monk to get exposed as a lucky idiot. Eder to not be as good as Bony.

Yeah if we don't at least get a CB and another attacker I can't see us improving all that much. Im expecting us to be too inconsistent still. It's still Chelsea's title to lose but yeah I think Arsenal have the best chance out of everyone else.

If the squads stayed as they are i'd probably go 1. Chelsea, 2. Arsenal, 3. Utd, 4. City (optimistically)

Norwich and Leicester I think will both go down. The 3rd team could be between a few - Villa, Bournemouth, Sunderland,Watford etc

Van Gaal emptying out Valdes' locker and shoving it in the reserves dressing room and upsetting the Spanish contingent

But obviously he's a great man manager

Probably not, would've been a change for him to have a bit of a backbone when dealing with his players for once.

Chelsea easily again, Arsenal will the best of the rest but theyll go through a bad patch in Feb/March that kills it for them

I don't know who'll win it. Got my doubts about Chelsea and City, don't think we will be consistent enough and Arsenal are hard to predict.

Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Man United for the top 4 in that order I think.

Think Villa will be better than people are predicting, and think Sunderland might finally have a season of relative security and won't be battling relegation on the last day.

Unsure how Spurs and Southampton will do - but I don't think we'll finish any higher than 12th.

Not sure the Pardew love in will continue too, I think they'll struggle now he's got some good players which he can't manage.

Good to see football genius Frank De Boer get knocked out the Champions League. In extremely incompetent fashion.

I think 10th-13th is where we'll end up. Would be higher if we had bought 2 more defenders and sold certain useless lumps. Still, its a gradual process.

I was saying before to somebody if we add 3 players with the quality we have this year every year, and replace people that we sell BEFORE we sell like we did with Janmaat/Debuchy we will make gradual progress. I can't see us spending 30m on 3 players every year, though.

Wilshere could be out for months if he needs surgery on his injured ankle, apparently caused by Gabriel in training.

So it begins.

Right, a day to go. Prediction:

1. Arsenal
2. Chelsea
3. United
4. City
---------------------
18. West Ham
19. Leicester
20. Watford

I think it'll be very close at both ends though.

I think Watford might do well, Quique Flores isn't a chump and the quality they've added to their squad will eventually reap dividends, even if they might endure a poor start.

Newcastle though, if they get sucked into an internal shitstorm like last season.

Realistically:

1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. City
4. United
---------------------
18. Norwich
19. Leicester
20. Bournemouth

I don't get that, Dier in midfield? Much rather have Dembele in there instead with Lamela on the wing. I'm going for either 3-1 or 4-1 to Man Utd.
