Would love Mourinho to fall out with Abramovich. Not just because it would mean that an amazing manager would be gone from our rivals, but it's closer to the fact that Jose could be face-down at the bottom of a ditch

Well we only 'missed out' on Otamendi in the sense we miss out on anyone we don't want to sign.

Gladly take 3 years of Mourinho over 10 years of old mate Rodgers, that's for sure.

Pedro is a decent signing. He might be 28 but he's played less football than most his age, he'll also offer goals which we currently lack outside of Hazard and Costa. Decent price £19m + add ons.

Now to hopefully obtain Stones and ideally another CM.

We're selling all the right players but not bringing them in. Austin and Yarmolenko would be good, although the latter appears to be going to Everton.

Manager Louis van Gaal tried to play down his interest in Pedro during his Friday press conference but agent Antonio Sanz insists Chelsea capitalised on United's last-minute hesitation.

"Maybe Manchester United fell asleep," Sanz told Radio Club Tenerife. "The negotiation with Chelsea was like a lightning bolt.

"It is common knowledge that United were in the bidding for Pedro, but Chelsea were faster and within 24 hours reached an agreement with the club. It was a whirlwind."

The Sun have a 'World Exclusive' saying we want Neymar. I don't think there's anyone we haven't been linked to ffs.

It is. Their chairman has denied it but that doesn't always have to mean anything - either way. €3M seems very overpriced though, he's only played four (2+2) league games...

There pretty much never is to be fair, you can only judge it from the journalists track record/the paper they write for.

Jamie Jackson's possibly the worst United journalist around, so the stories about as credible as the sun one.

I can believe we've made enquiries regarding Neymar's availability to both him and Barcelona, as will have every club in the world, and may have been given some encouragement (he is after a new contract by all reports), but don't believe for a second its anything we're seriously pursuing.

Make that 5 times, I somehow forgot about Pedro. Wimmer & Alli to Spurs and Pedro, Nathan & Kenedy to Chelsea. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 20 players that I've signed that have gone on to play for the mentioned clubs in the last 5 or 6 years.

Same. Courtois, Zouma, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Lucas Piazon and Lukaku were always players I would buy regularly on FM before they joined Chelsea. Like obviously the best young players always end up at the best teams but it has been weird how many of the specific ones i would always buy end up at Chelsea.
