God, I love how angry you get over someone disagreeing with you on an internet forum.
I've never, ever, seen someone lose their cool so quickly.
.verse
I'm not even angry, I just find your constant nitpicking to be rather pathetic.
As you were though.

Surely that's a sign of just hoarding players for no real gain.

Surprised striker-light MUFC and Arsenal are being a bit more relaxed, even if in the case of the latter, I do think Giroud is a better player than his critics make out.
Dimitar Berbatov possibly about to join Villa... could go either way that one. Lescott to Villa could be a good move, but I think they need a new keeper more than anything as Guzan is stupidly inconsistent.

You had a dig and then got incredibly defensive, as you always do, when I pointed out his record was incredibly similar to your new signing. A player pretty much everyone considers to be, at least, a good signing.
It's either fine for both or fine for neither, you can't have it both ways.

We have only about 18 first team outfield players atm, unbelievable. Martial will make it 19, but jesus on paper it looks so worrying - especially now we are back in Europe.
Ninja
The other centre back they signed had been turned down by West Brom as well.

Can't believe the De Gea mess. Two such huge clubs fucking up this badly.

It's not that thin, the problem is the lack of quality.
I think we're ok in defence. Damian, Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Blind, McNair, Shaw (and Young if needs be) for four positions
The midfields fine BFS, Morgan, Carrick (and Herrera + Pereira and Fellaini if needs must) for two positions
Up front: Mata, Martial, Memphis, Herrera, Rooney, Young, Fellaini, Pereira, Lingard, (+Wilson if he stays) for four positions
What it does mean is that we're going to be relying on younger players to fill gaps in the squad, Nick Powell's due back from a serious injury, Sean Goss went on tour, Valera's back at the club etc... That's not necessarily a bad thing, at times under Ferguson we had such a large first team that opportunities never arose for the young kids and we lost out on some talent, but its a huge gamble.

We use the loan market as a revenue stream in ways. Sign players when they catch the eye, if they progress well they will hopefully end up in the first team. If not, then they'll have been able to showcase their abilities to a wider audience hopefully meaning more interest/higher transfer fee received.
In ways, it's quite an Italian approach. Minus the ability to co-own players.
Ninja
It's really not.
Real Madrid wanted to sign our player, tried to low ball us at the start of summer and then ran out of time when they made a half way acceptable bid.
They spectacularly fucked it, I'd understand us getting dogs abuse if we were the ones trying to sign him from them. But any attribution of blame starts and ends with how late they left it in the window.

Hector remains at Reading for the season and Papy will be a short term 4th option because we couldn't get someone like a Varane/Stones. Dare say we'll be back in for Stones during January or next summer. Was really no point in signing another first choice CB if the club really wants Stones as much as it appears they do.
Fairly disappointing transfer window though. Really could have used another quality all-round CM.

Charlie Austin, £15m, just do it Levy for fuck sake, we've only got 1 proper striker which obviously isn't going to be enough.

You can look at it like that, but then there is the other way where Utd had a player that clearly didn't want to be there coming to the end of his contract. Had it of gone through yesterday it would have been a great bit of business getting a few quid plus a new keeper too. But now they're left with a player that doesn't wanna play who will now leave at the end of the season for free, not forgetting they've gotta somehow get by with Romero in goal all season.
I guess we'll never know the truth but IF Utd had offered De Gea as soon as he told them he didn't wanna play then all this would have been avoided, though of course Madrid could just as easily made a offer a few weeks back rather than the final day. Imo though overall Utd have certainly came off the worst from the whole fuck up.
Sam
Madrid played hardball with negotiations and it backfired, they had all summer to do a deal and didn't. Their fault.
EDIT: Simon Stone says Madrid's first bid was yesterday lunchtime. Fucking idiots.
Carroll.
De Gea will go back in goal for sure
Ninja
That could easily be true without it being our fuck up.
We can't force Madrid to bid for our players, if they wanted to engage in brinkmanship then fine. But if they didn't leave themselves enough time for both parties to complete a transfer (and bare in mind that by virtue of the deal they offered we were having to negotiate with a keeper that, by all accounts, was reluctant to move) then they've got no one to blame but themselves.
We had the exact same thing happen when we went to sign Contreo from them with approximately 3 seconds left of the transfer window. I don't think we put out a statement blaming everybody else but ourselves in that instance, we knew we'd fucked it.
He can't really afford not to be playing if he wants to make Spain's Euro squad.

The additional unsecured expenses, totaling another € 30 million. These include € 5 million each time Martial is the top scorer in the Premier League, to a maximum of € 15 million. Another € 5 million will be due if Martial wins Golden Boy. The final € 10m will be paid if Martial won the Balon D'or career in Manchester.
RMC report on the structure of Martial deal. Makes a huge amount of sense for it to be structured like that
