Incredible ball, I'm not sure how much Mandzukic got on it though.

Darmian basically. And as per usual we don't have the incisiveness to break down 10 men behind the ball. We haven't played bad by any means, only really Darmian and Mata have had poor games, just no end product yet again.

Best wishes to Luke Shaw. Such bad luck with injuries.

Same, so happy we got rid of Hernandez and Januzaj on the final day so we could have Fellaini and Valencia to try and save us games.

It looks like a fairly clean break, its middle of the way up on the shin so away from the small bones in the ankle and knee and he's 20 so, comparatively, his recovery should be smoother than someone older.
Doubt we'll see him again in any meaningful capacity before next season, but hopefully thats the worst of it. No reason why he can't make a full recovery, although it will be tough for him, especially mentally.

He launched himself into a lunging, two footed tackle, with his studs showing. I'm not really sure how it could have been much worse.
I don't buy the notion he went in to deliberately hurt Shaw, but what happened to Shaw is the exact reason tackling like that is so dangerous.

How is going in 'scissor style' a mitigation? It's preciously because his back leg comes through that Shaw breaks his leg because his leg gets caught in-between Moreno's two feet. If Moreno had just lunged at him Shaw was in mid-air and would have just been cleaned out and probably limped away with a nasty bruise and not a lot else. It's still a red card challenge, but at least Shaw would be walking away from it.
It's basically a 101 in how to execute the most dangerous slide tackle possible.
Edit: Actually I take it back, calling it a slide tackle implies that he slid at some point. He didn't.

I wish I'd of watched United instead. Though I did switch over to hear Scholes 'They can take a lot of positives from today but it's still a poor result against a bad team'. Brutally honest.
