In PC Gaming, what do you guys use as your target FPS?

I only have a 60hz monitor, so try to hit 60, most games allows me to do it (i have a GTX 980) but i have to use vsync or i get really choppy high frametates, or screen tearing. Do you have any problems?

Pretty much every game I play hits 60 easily, and I use vsync. Not sure why you say "but" in regards to using vsync, nothing wrong with it.

Because ideally I'd like to go higher than 60FPS, but without vsync on it gives me stuttering or screen tearing, and obviously vsync locks the FPS to the displays refresh rate.

I should be able to get higher FPS than 60 at 1080p on max settings on most games with a GTX 980 tbh, the only exception i can think of would be GTA.

Personally I prefer Finishing but I can see why some prefer a higher Composure.

Processor.

Ram is dirt cheap compared anyway, so you could easily upgrade that at a later date.

I've 4GB ram in the new laptop.

The processor is Intel Celeron Processor N2840.

Anyone got or getting MGSV? I've played about eight hours of it so far (mostly side missions and dying). Haven't played a console game since Assassin's Creed Black Flag but this is really good.

Got it free with my laptop, can't install it till it comes out though. Looking forward to it, however I've only played Snake Eater & Ground Zero so the story might go over my head.

PES is the better football game, but since it doesn't have a decent edit mode and missing a few teams I'd use I'll be sticking to Fifa.

Fifa Ai has improved a shit load though I must say, career mode might actually be playable now.

I've been playing both and pre-ordered both but will probably sell PES when Fifa comes. I bought last year's PES after playing this years demo and kind of frustrating at times. Edited a bit to have a play at career mode but just can't seem to get into matches as much and everything just seems to drag a bit compared to Fifa. Gameplay is good in bits, eg passing is a lot better and can pick out a nice through ball or something but tackling, clashes and animations are a bit shit.

Plus FIFA's game modes shit on PES' to be fair, I tried myClub but it's not as fun as Ultimate team. The new draft mode they're bringing in is pretty cool too.

Ah yeah that bundle was great value if you're a new player! But for me I already had the vanilla game and both previous dlcs and yet still the new expansion alone was £40. I don't understand how they work that out.

Yeah I thought that's what I'd need to do. Just didn't know a reliable prepaid card site.

Oh well, only got to wait 10 or so hours now.
