Martial has exceeded expectations. He's bound to have a blip at some point, but he's only 19. Unknown to most when he arrived, under so much pressure and called 'a waste of money' before touching a ball, yet he's playing superbly in the best league in the world. He runs at players with no fear, calm, confident and composed in front of goal, he's just so exciting to watch when he has the ball.

We wasted him on the wing yesterday, if we put him in the middle in the second half he'd have caused loads of problems, especially with Kompany on a yellow.

As for Memphis, I still think he'll be great, he's shown glimpses of what he can do. He's had an average start and quite rightly been dropped for the last few games. He reminds me a little of Ronaldo in his early days - he has the talent but needs to show it consistently.

That being said, he should be in the team instead of Rooney. If he wasn't undroppable we could have had Memphis on the wing and Martial upfront yesterday.

Is Martial on the wing that much of an issue? He's still good there. Isn't the far bigger issue the reluctance to play Herrera and Schneiderlin?

He is, but he's much better through the middle. He's not a great crosser of the ball, so you limit his impact when he plays on the left and when he beats players he's still 30 yards from goal rather than clean through.

Herrera's been injured which is why he's not played a great deal, but he's first choice at number 10 at the minute and would have been for ages if we weren't insistent on playing Rooney in every position possible to try and find one he's decent at.

As for Schneirderlin, he's in rotation with Carrick and Schweinsteiger and is getting plenty of games. The notable fuck up was not playing him against Arsenal (but to be fair, he'd had his worst game for us against Wolfsburg in mid-week which is probably why) but other than that there's definitely been no reluctance to play him.

The selection issues we have are (in order of importance) 1) Drop Rooney, 2) Left Wing (Memphis has been pretty shit, but do you stick with him and back the talent or bring Young in when he's fit, Lingard's looked ok, too) 3) Left Back and 4) Blind or Jones at Centre back

He is good there, but we've got options on the wing already. He's better in the middle, and right now a better option than Rooney.

It would be nice to see Herrera and Schneiderlin play together, him and Schweinsteiger is working well though. I just hope we never play Carrick/Schweinsteiger together again.

Newcastle's appeal against Coloccini's red has been successful, with the FA saying that the referee "made an obvious error", and yet they still charged us with failing to control our players.

Weird. But still fundamentally irritating on so many levels.

It's not a dive but it's in no way shape or form a red card.

It's a definitive dive. - He throws himself in an attempt to con the referee into thinking its a shove. It worked.

We wont score for shit, especially as Chelsea will park the bus a little, so 1 or 2 nil to Chelsea from here

Well other than that Mourinho going to be fuming about the added time.. Moreno is so wank, the amount of times he's given the ball away and no idea why he's taking corners

Mourinho will love that though, only adds fuel to his conspiracy bullshit

The funny thing is its Chelsea's fault, took forever to take the freekick after the offside

Just need a Lucas goal now to complete the buildup to the inevitable Mourinho breakdown

They're absolutely awful. Don't get me wrong we've been lucky today, all our goals were fairly fortunate and Lucas should probably be off but we have definitely been the better team and Klopp's style, especially defensive is taking shape. Chelsea on the other hand offered fuck all going forward and hardly anyone gets back when they lose the ball. There was like 3 on 3 for the Benteke goal.

Twice this week when needing a goal Martial's gone up front. Can't we just admit the Rooney problem and fuck him off?

We've been completely outplayed.

One shot on target. One.

This is getting worrying. Please, please, drop Rooney.
