We haven't scored in 325 minutes. We haven't scored in 4 of our last 5 domestic games.

We've been involved in a penalty shout out, and the balls only been put in the back of the net once including that and yet the same attack keeps getting picked.

Maybe it's more down to the shite style of play Van Gaal insists on playing...

I don't think he insists on playing this way at all, but I don't know what we are trying to do. It's clear he wants his back six to be rigid, yeah, but the front four seem to have the freedom to do whatever they want. Martial runs at players every chance he gets, Memphis spent most of the game on Wednesday shooting from the halfway line neither of them would do it if they were really as restricted as implied.

Anyway, last two days seemed reasonably important. First LVG responding to criticism, suggesting its affecting him, and secondly the fans showing dissatisfaction at the game today. Hopefully we change for the better.

Bony and Stirling being greedy bastards will be fun to watch over the season

I imagine Bony basically being shit would be more fun for you to watch tbh.

He was shit today... He should have wrapped it up when you countered towards the end, he had Sterling and someone else available but was greedy cunt and fucked it up. Sterling wanted the penalty bad as well and I can see him being greedy in games this season

He's been shit all season. He was never going to be as good as Aguero but he's currently managing to make Dzeko look like a determined, mobile and technically-gifted striker, which is pretty incredible.

Sterling's nowhere near as bad. He's a bit greedy I suppose, but his bigger problem is his decision-making. When he cuts in from the left he still has a habit of trying to hold onto it for too long whilst he tries to find the perfect pass or shot.

Moreno was so awful today. I missed Ramires goal but he completely misses his man. Kept being a liability all game, otherwise the defence looked solid

Wish there was a journalist that actually presses Mourinho and calls out some off the bullshit. Would be fun to see the reaction

Newcastle v Stoke was an excellent game I though, Newcastle's best performance of the season, should have finished about 4-3 to Newcastle.

Thought Anita was fantastic, and Tiote actually looked like a footballer. Rob Elliot must be one of the most underrated players in the League. He gets loads of shit but he's a pretty decent keeper. Bojan, Shakiri and Arnautovic were good to watch but didn't have much to show for their nice football.

Think Wijnaldum and Sissoko really need to do more though, they're far too uninvolved for much of the game.

And Butland was incredible. Joe Hart should actually have competition in the near future.

Arouna Kone is also very good.

He always impresses me far more than Everton's 'stars'.

In fairness they looked sharp in the early minutes.

They're traditional reaction to winning the derby, is for them all to be on the piss and lose the next 12.

Martinez must be on his way soon. Really awful.

The absolute complacency Everton have shown. They'be been so self indulgent in their passing.

Sunderlands defending is piss poor that pass to Kone fooled 3 Sunderland players

Sunderlands comeback went a bit tits up didn't it?

Been checking BBC's text updates, I saw they had just made it 2-2, checked five minutes later and they are 5-2 down.

Sunderland had everyone back - Everton got over indulgent and allowed Sunderland to get space on the break.

Sunderland then actually attacked Everton - which left Coates and Brown horrendously exposed defending on the half way line - against guys who can run.

Love strikers crossing - they're always better at crossing than actual wingers.

btw Sunderland have had most of their 'easier' games

Southampton, Palace, Stoke, Arsenal, Watford, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool. - If they get 8 points out of that they'll have 14 points - At the half way stage. They'll have a lot of hard work to do in the second half of the season.

Good result for us really, hopefully Southampton beat Bournemouth this afternoon and we capitalise against Spurs tomorrow. I shan't hold my breath though.

Sunderland are shite, Bournemouth (although unlucky with injuries) are shite and Villa are shite (although for some reason I can't help but think they're less shite than the first two despite less points) its up to the likes of Newcastle and Norwich to be less shite than them, but I can't help but feel its a relatively easy season to survive when you've got those three knocking around.

Think Norwich and Bournemouth look certainties. - Norwich look like they can't defend which will be a big problem. Sunderland and Villa always survive so I wouldn't be assuming anything just yet. fwiw I think Villa have been a bit unlucky - they seem to lose by the odd goal every week - but that can be a dangerous habit.

Think Swansea might drop in as major contenders soon - they're out of the moment and have a tiny squad.

I'm sure Villa will see some improvement in the new man - but I can't help but think what do they expect? - they've lost Delph, Benteke, Vlaar and Cleverley and have replaced them with unproven players

Vlaar barely played last season to be fair, but yeah. They barely survived last season and then significantly weakened the squad. It's inevitable they're down there.

Kevin McDonald was quoted as saying that Gabby Agbonlahor can be the catalyst to our revival.

If we're pinning our hopes on Gabby we may as well start sewing the Championship patches on our sleeves now. We should of got rid of such an abysmal striker years back when he still had any value, he's only got ten goals in the last two and a half seasons dispute being a regular starter.

Hopefully Remi Garde will see through the clubs sentiment towards him in January and send him on his way to a mid-table Championship club where he belongs.

I think Villa will be fine at the end of the season, but only just.

I want to say Sunderland will go down, because I really fucking hope they do, but I'm wary of their 'miraculous' escapes. Norwich and Bournemouth will be the other two teams, such a shame for Bournemouth - dreadfully unlucky with injuries.

I had Watford, Bournemouth and Sunderland to go down in my pre-season prediction. Like most people I've been surprised how well Watford are doing, whether they can maintain it remains to be seen.

I'd say the battle is still fairly open, and will be for a while yet. But I'm not quite sure yet who it is that will fall through - merely just being confident its not going to be us.
