https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iPpcbNiDywTyab3IihJXf5TXnfFARYsOWgxP6iZr.png

Hartlepool have signed midfielder Sammie Szmodics on loan from League One side Colchester until the end of the season. Szmodics becomes Hartlepool's fifth signing of this transfer window after the signings of Billy Simpson, Myles Weston, Louis Robles and Jake Hyde.

Szmodics, 20, can play in any of the midfield positions and also upfront and had featured nineteen times for Colchester this season, managing to get on the scoresheet on one occasions. The signing of Szmodics has been hailed by former defender Michael Bates: "I'm really impressed that Boydy (Adam Boyd) has managed to pull this one off. I've seen Sammie (Szmodics) play on a few occasions for Colchester in the league above and he's done really well so I'm looking forward to seeing him play. Some really talented players have joined the club this transfer window and I hope they can all gel quickly.

Leyton Orient winger Blair Turgott and Southend goalkeeper Ted Smith have joined Hartlepool on loan. Adam Boyd has announced that the club's January transfer window dealings are now over and has revealed that a number of players are on the verge of leaving the club on loan, in what has been a very busy transfer window for the League Two side.

Turgott who can play on either wing has been allowed to join Hartlepool until the end of the season. Ted Smith, 20, has also joined Adam Boyd's side until the end of the season from League One side Southend. Jake Hyde won the game for his new club Hartlepool after scoring a hat-trick for Hartlepool in a dream debut for the twenty five year old. Tom Nicholls hit a late consolation for Exeter but Hyde was the star of the show.

Jake Hyde had only managed three goals for his parent club York this season but managed to match that goal scoring tally in one match for his new side Hartlepool. Hyde grabbed his first goal of the game when he converted fellow new signing Myles Weston's pinpoint cross into the far left hand corner. Hyde then grabbed his second of the game just before the break when he headed home after some good work by Scott Fenwick. Hyde's hat-trick was sealed with twenty minutes to go after a great individual effort from just outside the box. Hartlepool travel to Notts County next in the league.

Trio Leave Hartlepool On Loan

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NPf1qWg5KUUwa7f4hEfDv7TcQljwBxekinDlVf7U.png

Hartlepool have let Erhun Oztumer, Jordan Richards and Ebby Nelson-Addy leave the club on loan until the end of the season. Erhun Oztumer only joined the club at the start of the season but has been allowed to move to fellow League Two side Accrington Stanley, whereas Jordan Richards and Ebby Nelson-Addy have joined Conference sides Forest Green and Tranmere respectively.

Oztumer has struggled for first team football since his arrival to the club in August from League One side Peterborough United. The Turkish playmaker has started seven times for Adam Boyd's side whilst making another eleven appearances off the bench. Oztumer has been allowed to join Accrington who are currently sitting 19th in the League Two table. Jordan Richards had spent time on loan at Grimsby however has moved to Forest Green who sit in eighth place in the Conference. Finally, the last player to leave the club is right back Ebby Nelson-Addy who has joined Conference leaders Tranmere until the end of the season.

The transfer window has been extremely busy for Hartlepool which has seen seven players join the club. Billy Simpson has joined the club on a permanent deal from Bishops Stortford while Myles Weston, Louis Robles, Jake Hyde, Sammie Szmodics, Blair Turgott and Ted Smith have all joined the club on loan until the end of the season. Boyd has also let seven players leave the club- Billy Paynter joined Shrewsbury whereas Nicky Featherstone, Michael Woods and Adam Bartlett were released as well as today's loan moves which has seen Oztumer, Richards and Nelson-Addy leave the club until the end of the season.

Fenwick and Boyd Pick Up Monthly Awards

Hartlepool striker Scott Fenwick has been named the Player Of The Month for January after a brilliant month for Hartlepool's top goalscorer. Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd has also won an award as he has been named January's Manager Of The Month.

Fenwick managed five goals in five appearances in the month of January and has not hit fifteen goals already this season in all competitions. Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd has guided his team to four wins in five matches in January and has won the award for the first time in his career. Adam Boyd was unavailable to comment however Hartlepool's top goalscorer Fenwick could not hide his happiness at his award: "I'm over the moon to be honest with you. This season has already had its ups and down for me so far but I am playing well, feeling confident and hopefully we can keep in the play off positions. Hartlepool currently sit in fifth place in the League Two table with seventeen matches left to play.

Manager Of The Month Boyd Happy With Hartlepool's Transfer Activity

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qG24unaGUihQW8s2FIskjHUzJAFM8bWVvLBBaKDk.png

The January transfer window has seen a host of incomings and outgoings for Adam Boyd's Hartlepool side. Despite sitting in fifth place in the League Two table, Hartlepool decided to let seven players leave the club as well as bringing in seven new faces. Manager Adam Boyd, who has just been announced the League Two manager of the month stated that he is happy with the club's transfer activity, despite the risks attached with bringing in so many new faces.

In terms of incomings, Billy Simpson was Hartlepool's first capture of the January transfer as he joined the club on a free transfer whom was given an initial six month deal. Simpson, 19, has only made one appearance for the club since his arrival but will be hoping to do enough to earn a new deal over the upcoming months. The final six signings were all loan signings until the end of the season but all will be hoping to force their way into Adam Boyd's starting eleven. Myles Weston has featured in the side's past three matches since his arrival from Gillingham, whilst Jake Hyde who joined the club from league rivals York City scored a hat trick on his debut. Louis Robles re-joined the club on loan however is yet to feature since re-signing for the club. Blair Turgott made a substitute appearance in the side's win against Exeter whilst Sammie Szmodics and Ted Smith are yet to make an appearance.

Billy Paynter was the first player to leave the club, joining League One side Shrewsbury for a fee of £10k. Paynter only managed one goal in his six month spell at Hartlepool. Nicky Featherstone, Michael Woods and Adam Bartlett all had their contracts cancelled by mutual consent to free up funds and at this moment in time, the trio are yet to find new clubs. Finally, Jordan Richards joined Conference side Forest Green on loan whilst Ebby-Nelson Addy joined Conference leaders Tranmere on a six month loan deal. However, the most surprising deal in terms of the club's outgoings was a deal which saw Summer signing Erhun Oztumer leave the club on loan to fellow League Two side Accrington Stanley until the end of the season. Oztumer was expected to be a big player when joining the club in August however never managed to force his way into Adam Boyd's side.

"Overall, I am delighted with the signings we have made this transfer window. We have brought in some cracking players who I expect will all be in and around the first team picture. People will be shocked by the decision to let seven players leave the club, especially Oztumer but if you look at the lads we decide to let go, none of them really were pushing for a place in the squad as much as I wanted them to. We let Oztumer, Richards and Nelson-Addy leave on loan and I really hope they find their form and come back to us better players in the Summer". said Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd.

Just read through all of this, enjoyed it! Was worried you were going to end up with only your first 11 for a while there with all the injuries, mutual termination of contracts and players turning down loan moves to your side! Good to see you've managed to bolster the ranks now though and look forward to more updates. Just a shame it's with Hartlepool!

In form right winger Rakish Bingham scored a brace and Scott Fenwick scored a fine header as Adam Boyd's Hartlepool beat Notts County away from home.

Hartlepool completed their league double over Notts County with a great performance in which the hosts were completely outplayed. Rakish Bingham was been in fantastic form in recent weeks and bagged his first goal of the game after some fine work from striker Jake Hyde. Bingham started off this season upfront however has really excelled in right midfield over the recent weeks. Bingham's second goal came courtesy of a good ball from Scott Fenwick before the former Wigan winger fired into the far left corner. Scott Fenwick then sealed the game for Hartlepool, admittedly just before half time with a fine header from a Jake Carroll cross. Hartlepool host Yeovil next at home in the league.

Hartlepool made it three games unbeaten after their goalless draw with Yeovil in a dull encounter at Victoria Park.

Hartlepool nearly grabbed a winner at the death however Scott Fenwick's effort cannoned off the bar after some good work on the left hand side my Myles Weston. Yeovil captain Ryan Dickson also went close for Yeovil however the former Southampton winger was twice denied by Hartlepool keeper Trevor Carson. Hartlepool travel to Luton Town next in the league as they will look to make it four games unbeaten.

Hartlepool's on loan striker Jake Hyde kept up his great form since joining the club as he grabbed the winner against fellow play off contenders Luton Town.

In a tight encounter Jake Hyde scored the only goal of the game after some great link up play with strike partner Scott Fenwick. Fenwick's through ball was picked up by Hyde who comfortably rounded Mark Tyler in the Luton and fired home. Trevor Carson had a great game in the Hartlepool goal and kept the league's top goalscorer Craig Makail-Smith on a number of occasions. Luton face Northampton at home in the club's next league match. Hartlepool have already faced Northampton twice this season and have lost on both occasions.

Boyd Praises Goalkeeper Trevor Carson

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xTxTzdWNRGNpNmY3jX4N5lK5wgPBUFwr2oatk4Hr.png

Hartlepool goalkeeper Trevor Carson has been praised by his manager Adam Boyd after keeping his third consecutive clean sheet in yesterday's win against Luton.

Hartlepool have only lost twice in the seventeen matches and after a somewhat disappointing start of the season, Adam Boyd's side are sitting in the play off positions. Hartlepool were favourites for relegation this season but have shocked many with their recent performances. Goalkeeper Trevor Carson has kept a clean sheet in his last three matches. "Carson has been brilliant for us. The forwards have been getting a lot of praise but Trevor's performances have been a massive factor for our good form" said Boyd. In other news, Hartlepool midfielder Lewis Hawkins has joined Cheltenham on loan for a month, whilst Guiseley have had a loan offer turned down for Rhys Oates. Finally, Summer signing Christian Smith has left the club by mutual consent and has joined Non-League side Whitby.

Hartlepool's top goalscorer Scott Fenwick has been ruled out for two months after dislocating his shoulder in yesterday's defeat against league leaders Leyton Orient. Fenwick has scored nineteen goals this season and will be a big miss for Adam Boyd's side, severely damaging the club's promotion push.

Scott Fenwick has been a key man for Hartlepool this season and will be a big loss as the side look for an unexpected promotion. In a match which was the club's first loss in eleven matches which saw two sendings off manager Adam Boyd has blasted Leyton Orient: "They're a very overly physical team and the match yesterday was an absolute joke. They're sitting top of the league but on yesterday's showing, I am unsure how. They bully team and some of their tackles were unacceptable. We have lost Scott now for the season and we will fight until the end but it's a massive loss for us". In other news, on loan winger Blair Turgott has been ruled out for seven weeks after straining his ankle ligaments in training before the match against Leyton Orient.

Hartlepool moved back into the League Two automatic promotion places after Rakish Bingham bagged the winner against his former club Mansfield. Jake Hyde and Jake Carroll scored the other goals for Adam Boyd's side while Matt Green and Craig Westcarr bagged the goals for the visitors.

Mansfield went ahead after only five minutes when former Birmingham striker Matt Green was left in too much space at the back post and he fired home. However, Mansfield were not ahead long as Jake Hyde capitalised on a goalkeeping mistake to draw the hosts level. Jake Carroll then scored his first goal for the club with a wonderful free kick from the edge of the area to bring Hartlepool in front. Rakish Bingham, who was released by Mansfield at the end of last season then bagged his tenth goal of the season with a fine finish from a tight angle. Craig Westcarr scored a late consolation for Mansfield but Hartlepool held on for a big win. Hartlepool travel to Morecambe next in the league.
