Poor enough defeat away to East Stirlingshire which has potentially ended any chance we've had in winning the League Two title this season, even though Elgin could only manage a point at home to Annan. We played reasonably well but just didn't have an end product - seems a repetitive theme this season.

Just like my win earlier in the season against this lot, a Clyde red card changed the game as we won 4-1 at home. Darren Lavery bagged a sensational treble against The Bully Wee as his prolific season continued - to make the afternoon better, leaders Elgin could only draw 0-0 at basement boys Stirling Albion.

Another excellent afternoon has seen us win by two goals to nil at Gayfield against Arbroath thanks to goals from Dale Fulton from a penalty spot and Finn Graham with the latter (along with a few others) potentially leaving the club in the summer as they don't want to re-sign...yet. Elgin drew for the third game running, they're cracking under the pressure.

We were forced to come from behind to beat East Fife at home by two goals to one as goals from Finn Graham and Darren Lavery cancelled out Craig Murray's opening strike. Elgin City won by a single goal to nil away to East Stirlingshire, which means the league will go down to the final day of the season, somehow.

Cheers man! I'd love to see us end up winning the league title against the odds but doesn't seem it'll happen.

A poor enough result to end the league season but a playoff spot was secured regardless of what happened as Darren Lavery (who else?) gave us the lead at Links Park but a goal early in the second period rescued a point for a Montrose side who'll finish the season in sixth place. Elgin beat struggling Abroath one goal to nil on the final day to secure the league title, regardless of what happened at Links.

Yes, I'm pleased enough with a second place finish in the league.

Finn Graham's goal on the stroke of half time means we've the advantage in the relegation/promotion playoff after this single goal victory at Galabank - it's now important we can finish the job in the second leg to get to the relegation/promotion final against either Queens Park or Stenhousemuir - the League One side has the advantage after the first leg win at Hampden Park.

Completely battered in the second leg but somehow we kept a clean sheet and Finn Graham's goal in the first leg was enough to send us through to the final and we'll face Stenhousemuir of League One over two legs in the relegation/promotion playoff. It's going to be tough.

Got a feeling we're going to be remaining a League Two side next season following this defeat away to Stenhousemuir and thus the pressure is on us in the return leg. Michael McKenna's goal in what is more than likely his penultimate game for the club gave us a glimmer of hope but Stenny's class showed in the first period especially.

Blimey! Did anyone see this comeback happening? We have been promoted to League One after beating Stenhousemuir 6-2 in the second leg (and 7-5 on aggregate) of the relegation/promotion playoff. Jon Robertson gave Stenny a first minute lead but goals from David Banjo, Darren Lavery and Finn Graham saw us roar back to level the scores on aggregate.

The game changed (or so I thought) when Josh McArthur was sent off ten minutes from half time for a second yellow but further goals from Dale Fulton, Darren Lavery and David Banjo saw the ten men end going six goals to one up on the night, Lukas Culjak pulled one more back for the visitors but I wasn't going to allow them to mess this up.

Dan, when you next take over, we'll be a League One club.

Cheers man, I was stunned at the comeback! Didn't expect to come from 3-1 behind, especially after conceding so early in the second leg. Really thought our chance had gone and we'd still be a League Two club this season, it's nice to be proven wrong.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/AVHOVEkrvzxnWgltXhYNkiXzu0hxvoZvTcWYpehE.jpg

Remember him from last season when I had him on loan? I decided to make Michael Selfridge's move permanent in the summer as I was impressed with how he performed in the centre of defence. He made twenty six appearances last season without scoring a goal - he's only twenty years old so still has time to improve as a player.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/JoPORDAjLf8CKKooL0v8Kr89gKrI3TLSLC9Hku0Y.jpg

Our second signing of the summer, Martin McNiff is a left back who'll be an excellent rotation with our current left back. He previously agreed a pre-contract and has signed from Annan Athletic in which he made thirty appearances last season, scoring once.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bKycwno95k3y3OUl2YJaIxRkRCHTYhf9PygEwBSD.jpg

Just seventeen years old, Ross King has signed on a free transfer from Championship side Rangers.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sLtCassic7MibVrXslSN6EdBNGv919zcy3khEgWC.jpg

And the last signing has seen central midfielder Bryan Hodge join the club after agreeing the switch from his previous employers Forfar Athletic, the twenty eight year old midfielder has experience at League One and Championship level in Scotland while a little experience in the English Football League. He will probably be a starter.

Not for the purpose of the challenge, Playoff promotion counts as a Title. They might want to do that for personal satisfaction, though.

As Sankalan says, promotion and playoff promotions count as the title for the challenge itself, however knowing us we probably will aim to go back for the title at some point.

My first signing in July was Graham Bowman, a goalkeeper who played his trade for our parent club Falkirk all of his career. However he now moves to us and a keeper I feel can challenge for the number one jersey here.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/YK23zbhGuCrFWN2fvTcr1XvB3RSCWeKprC7wZLo3.png
Second in was Alan Smith, doesn't look all that great but he gives us another attacking option and being versatile along that front line gives us plenty of options to utalise him to get the best for the team.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yNRMon27DWTD3k88pzC1DDusrytfcJpVogxn7l40.png
This lad played against us last season in League Two, signed from Albion Rovers and I really think he'll slot straight into our centre midfield without much competition.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/x76qEV741jmeS8um9iZ6fGO44F1RrtG0Jr14Qxgm.png
And finally 'record signing' from Raith was Ross Callachan, I'm most excited about this player, will also fit straight into the centre midfield role and from his experience with Raith he'll certainly be a good addition to the squad.

Will see what I can find, however I'm confident Lavery can do the job in this league, Smith can also play up top.

Not a bad way to get the season rolling, we advance to the Second Round of the Challenge Cup thanks to a brace from Lavery after we found ourselves behind against Amateur side Queens Park. Not a brilliant performance but we got the job done. And our reward for reaching the second round....

No League Cup run for us again this season. We were drawn up against Morton who are now in our division for the season upcoming and we lost out two nil. We had the better share of possession but they had the majority of shots and in the end we didn't take the chances we had created.

Not how I wanted us to start the season, on losing terms, as we lose 2-1 at home against Cowdenbeath. We were behind after just ten minutes and it seemed an uphill struggle from then on. Graham brought us level before the break however a Drummond own goal sent us to our first defeat of the new season.

Finally we're off the mark in League One and have our first three points on the board thanks to this convincing display at home against Forfar. Ross Callachan netted his first and second goals for the club whilst Lavery also found the net to open his league account for the season.

Delighted that we didn't embarrass ourselves at home against Rangers here. It was always going to be a collossal ask to get us through and unfortunately we lost out four two. We came back from behind twice through summer signing Smith first of all then mcKenna. However two goals in the final seventeen minutes saw the Scottish giants Prevail.

Well I thought this was going to get embarrassing away at Peterhead. We were two nil down within five minutes as Blair Henderson netted twice. Thankfully Smith pulled one back for us before the break. However a late sending off to Graham saw us deny ourselves any chance of snatching a late equaliser.
