Hartlepool striker Kristian Dennis came off the bench to grab his fifth goal of the season to grab a draw against Grimsby. Craig Whelpdale had put the League Two strugglers ahead with a penalty in the second half before Dennis struck for Hartlepool.
Hartlepool are now on a four match winless run in all competitions which will be a worry for manager Adam Boyd as his side look to keep the pressure on table toppers Portsmouth. Jon Guthrie brought down former Peterborough midfielder Craig Whelpdale in the box before Whelpdale smashed the resultant penalty past Carson. Kristian Dennis then managed to grab the equaliser for Hartlepool with a great finish after Brad Walker played the former Macclesfield striker through. Hartlepool travel to Barnet next in the league.

Hartlepool ended their run of three successive league draws with a solid away win against strugglers Barnet. Winger Rakish Bingham scored his fifth goal of the season before Scott Fenwick sealed the win for Hartlepool in injury time after Barnet had centre midfielder Nicky Bailey sent off.
Rakish Bingham put the away side ahead after twelve minutes as the former Wigan youngster scored from a low drive which found its way through the Barnet goalkeeper. Former Charlton Athletic midfielder Nicky Bailey was sent off just after the hour mark for picking up two yellow yards, his second yellow due to a foul on the impressive Bingham. Scott Fenwick then sealed the match for Hartlepool with a late header. Hartlepool host Exeter in their next league match.

Hartlepool midfielder Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been forced to train with the club's reserve team for the remainder on his contract after turning down a permanent move to fellow League Two side Newport County. Mendez-Laing handed in a transfer request at Hartlepool last week however has turned down Newport after talks stalled due to Mendez-Laing's wage demands.
Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd could not hide his anger at Mendez-Laing's decision to turn down Newport: "At the end of the day, he's dug his own grave and will not feature again at the club while I am still manager here. I want players who want to be here and players who want to fight for this club. Mendez-Laing obviously thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere so let him do that. He's turned down Newport due to wages which to be honest it completely sums up the lad. He will train with the youth team and reserves until he can get a transfer out of here".

Hartlepool won comfortably against Exeter to keep pressure on the league leaders Portsmouth. Scott Fenwick put Hartlepool ahead with sixth goal of the season before Rakish Bingham's cross was turned into his own net by Exeter defender Curtis Smith-Brown.
Scott Fenwick was top goalscorer for Hartlepool last season however had seen himself out of the side due to injury and the form of Rushian Hepburn-Murphy. However, Scott Fenwick seems to have found his goalscoring touch and he put Hartlepool ahead with a deft header early on. Rakish Bingham then caused mayhem in the Exeter box as his cross cannoned in off Exeter defender Smith-Brown to seal the win for Hartlepool. Hartlepool face Accrington Stanley next in the league who currently sit in third position in the League Two table.

Hartlepool defender Michael Duckworth has cast his future at the club into doubt after turning down a new deal at the club. Duckworth has been a key figure for Adam Boyd's side this season however contract talks have stalled with the right back's current contract running out at the end of the season.
Duckworth has been ever present this season for Hartlepool and it is expected that Adam Boyd will be looking to offer the right back a new and improved deal. It is thought that Adam Boyd is reluctant to cash in on the defender in January despite Duckworth being able to leave the club on a free in the future. It is unclear why Duckworth has refused a new deal however it is thought to be over the player's wage demands. Duckworth has been stand in captain in recent matches with Harry Worley injured and club captain Danny Hollands currently out of favour at Victoria Park.

Former Arsenal, Liverpool and Stoke winger Jermaine Pennant will join League Two side Hartlepool when the transfer window re-opens in January. The talented winger, now thirty-three years of age has most previously been at Championship side MK Dons and will join Hartlepool on a two-year deal.
Pennant has signed a two-year deal at Hartlepool who currently sit in second position in the League Two table. Pennant has been without a club since his release from MK Dons in the Summer however Adam Boyd is confident that he can be a hit at the club: "In my opinion, Jermaine (Jermaine Pennant) is a massive coup for a club like ourselves. He's been a key player in England for a number of years and I am delighted to have him here. He will join us in January and will be ready for selection when January comes by".

Hartlepool won a tough away match against fellow promotion contenders Accrington Stanley thanks to goals from Ebby Nelson-Addy, Rakish Bingham and in-form striker Scott Fenwick. Former West Brom striker Adil Nabi scored a late consolation for Accrington however Hartlepool were too strong.
Ebby Nelson-Addy put Hartlepool ahead with his fourth goal of the season when he converted from the penalty spot after Scott Fenwick was fouled. Hartlepool made it two soon after when Rakish Bingham fired in at the back post after a good cross from the returning Jake Carroll. Scott Fenwick sealed the win with a fine curling effort before Adil Nabi's late consolation. Hartlepool face top of the table Hartlepool next at home in their next league match.

Striker Dan Holman will leave League Two side Hartlepool to join Conference side Barrow when the transfer window re-opens in January. Holman joined the club at the start of the season after his release from League One side Colchester however has only made three appearances for Adam Boyd's side this season.
Holman managed thirteen goals last season for Woking in the Conference however failed to force his way into Adam Boyd's side and has been allowed to leave the club. Conference side Barrow currently sit in fifth position in the Conference table and will also sign Nile Ranger when the January transfer window re-opens. Also, Hartlepool youngsters Rhys Oates and Lewis Hawkins are currently on loan at Barrow for the season. Dan Holman has expressed his happiness at joining Barrow: "I'm delighted to join a side who will hopefully be in the Football League next season. It's unfortunate it hasn't worked out for me at Hartlepool but I am looking forward to a fresh start at Barrow."

Striker Armand Gnanduillet will join Conference side Southport from Hartlepool after a fee of £20k was agreed for the former Chesterfield front man. Gnanduillet, 25, only managed six appearances for Hartlepool and failed to find the net in those appearances. Gnanduillet will join Southport when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Adam Boyd stated that he was disappointed that Gnanduillet did not make the impact he wanted at the club however stated he was happy with the money the club received: " It's a shame it hasn't worked out for Gnanduillet here at the club as he is a good player. However, he wasn't in my plans and we managed to get a good fee for him as well which is pleasing. This money will give us a bit of cash to hopefully strengthen the side in January if the right player comes along".

Portsmouth won the battle at the top of the League Two table with a great win against second placed side Hartlepool. Gary Roberts bagged a hat-trick for Portsmouth while Christian Burgess and Yanic Wildschut also scored for the leaders. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy scored a brace for Adam Boyd's side and Michael Duckworth grabbed his first goal of the season with a long range effort.
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy headed Hartlepool infront before former Chesterfield and Swindon winger Gary Roberts scored his first of the game. Christian Burgess headed in from a corner before Hepburn-Murphy then drew the hosts level with a deft finish from a tight angle. Gary Roberts then grabbed two second half goals to grab his hat-trick for Portsmouth before Michael Duckworth scored with an effort from distance. Yanic Wildschut then sealed the win for the away side late on.

Hartlepool have kept the pressure on leaders Portsmouth with a strong win away at Fleetwood. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy scored his third goal in two games whilst Scott Fenwick and Rakish Bingham also scored for Adam Boyd's side. Jamie Proctor and Bobby Grant got on the scoresheet for Fleetwood.
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has been in great form since his loan move from Premier League side Aston Villa and grabbed his eleventh goal of the season with an early header. Substitute Scott Fenwick then scored his seventh goal of the season to make it two for Hartlepool. Former Preston striker Jamie Proctor headed in for Fleetwood before Rakish Bingham scored from a tight angle. Bobby Grant scored a late consolation for Fleetwood but it was too late. Hartlepool travel to Crewe in a few days time.

Jermaine Pennant, who only joined the club yesterday grabbed two assists in the first ten minutes as he supplied goals from Danny Hollands and Ashley Hemmings. Marcus Haber headed in from close range for Crewe and put the hosts level in the second half with an effort from range. Chris Atkinson then curled in to put Crewe in front before Ben Nugent sealed the win for Crewe with a late header from a corner. Hartlepool host Northampton next in the league.

Hartlepool's top goalscorer Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has extended his loan spell at the club until the end of the season. Hepburn-Murphy's deal was due to run out in a few weeks time and has signed a new loan deal.
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, 18, has scored eleven goals since joining the club, including three in his last two matches. It was rumoured that Aston Villa were looking to bring the talented youngster back to the club however have made the decision to allow Hepburn-Murphy to stay at Adam Boyd's Hartlepool side. Hepburn-Murphy has set his eyes on promotion with Hartlepool this season: "I've loved my time here and promotion is certainly the aim, I'm hoping I can score more goals and then we'll see what happens".

Colchester United midfielder Sammy Szmodics has re-joined Hartlepool United on loan until the end of the season. Smozdics made eighteen appearances last season on loan for Adam Boyd's Hartlepool and has featured six times for Colchester this season.
Szmodics, 21, stated that his main aim is to break into Hartlepool's starting eleven and help the club's push for promotion: "Last time I was here we were really unlucky to get knocked out in the play off final. I played a few times for Colchester this season but I really want to play first team football. I want to force my way into the starting line up and can't wait to get back with the lads and hopefully winning football matches".

League Two promotion contenders Hartlepool United have signed strikers Ademola Lookman and Conor Chaplin on loan until the end of the season. Both players joined the squad this morning and are in contention to make an appearance in tomorrow's match against Northampton Town.
Ademola Lookman, 19, has featured once for Charlton's first team this season and scored off the bench however has had to make use to reserve football this season. Chaplin also nineteen years of age joins from fellow League Two side and promotion contenders Portsmouth. The front man has made fifteen appearances this season, albeit nine of those coming off the bench and has managed one goal. Both players will be looking to kickstart their seasons with Adam Boyd's Hartlepool.

Hartlepool bounced back from their heavy defeat against play off contenders Crewe Alexandra with a convincing win against Northampton. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy kept up his fine goalscoring form with a goal along with Harry Worley and debutant Conor Chaplin who both found the scoresheet.
Hartlepool were made to work for their win after a resilient first half display by Northampton however Adam Boyd's side grabbed the opener just after the break. Brad Walker played a brilliant ball through the defence to Rushian Hepburn-Murphy who kept his cool to grab his twelfth goal of the season. Harry Worley headed in from a corner whilst Conor Chaplin scored a one-on-one on his debut to secure a fine win for Adam Boyd's side. League Two side Hartlepool have released striker Matthew Barnes-Homer whilst winger Nathaniel Mendez-Liang has joined Conference side Barrow. Barnes-Homer managed three appearances for Adam Boyd's side, managing to find the scoresheet once whereas Mendez-Liang made seven appearances but had a very public fall out with Hartlepool manager Adam Boyd.
Adam Boyd left a statement on the two players on their departure from the club: "Barnes-Homer has been really unlucky this season due to the form of Fenwick and Hepburn-Murphy. We gave him a chance in the Football League but unfortunately it hasn't worked out and we with him all the best for the future. Mendez-Liang on the other hand thought he was too good for Hartlepool and I will not have players like that in my team." Mendez-Liang becomes the third Hartlepool player to join Barrow this transfer window.

Luton Town came out on top against second-placed Hartlepool to push them up to fifth position in the League Two table. Josh McQuoid hit the winner with an early strike against an out of sorts Hartlepool side who produced a lacklustre display.
Former Brighton striker Craig Makail-Smith assisted his strike partner Mcquoid for the only goal of the game as the two combined to devastating effect which saw McQuoid nod home. Hartlepool rarely threatened and had goalkeeper Trevor Carson to thank for limiting the scoreline to one-nil. Hartlepool host Mansfield next where they will looking to get back to winning ways after a very disappointing performance.

Scott Fenwick scored his ninth goal of the season as Hartlepool beat Mansfield by a goal to nil. Hartlepool had lost last their last match against Luton but fought back with a solid performance to keep them in firmly in second position in the League Two table.
Hartlepool went ahead midway through the first half thanks to a fine strike from Fenwick. Fenwick was Hartlepool's top goalscorer last season however the striker has been somewhat overshadowed this season due to the performances from loanee Rushina Hepburn-Murphy. However, the two linked up well with Hepburn-Murphy being the provider with an astute knock down for Fenwick to volley home. Trevor Carson made some crucial saves late on for the home side to grab them an all important win. Hartlepool face fellow promotion contenders Notts County in their next match.
