Next season is going to be so strange.

Wenger, Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp & Conte in the Prem.
Ibra at United
Vardy at Arsenal

What the fuck is going on

It should be an exciting and tight premier league season.

But something tells me it'll just be piss like always.

Ibra scores 50 goals and United win every game, while all the English writers who've shat on him in the past take turns polishing Ibra's majestic penis.

Don't do it Zlatan! You're right about the media too by the way Franck. There used to be so much sh*t written about him until he scored four against England, unbelievably that's what it took for a lot of people to realise how good he is (a bit like Pirlo's performance v England at Euro 2012).

And Vardy too, for that matter, hope he stays - it'd be a shame for Leicester to lose one of their key men straight after winning the league.

Perhaps after the failure of Park Chu-young and Ryo Miyaichi, Vardy and Wenger share a dislike for the asian people?

De Telegraaf say Everton have bought out Koeman's contract. It's nearly done.

AS are reporting that we're very close to buying Eric Bailly from Villarreal.

He's supposedly one of the most promising centre backs in the world.

Using the Antony Martial index of obscurity to cost this is a great signing.

ESPN say Vardy is having a medical at Arsenal tomorrow.

I know Leicester won the league, but for somebody who only broke into professional football four years ago it would be hard for him to turn down Arsenal.

Yeah he'd be mad to turn down us to be fair. The people who say they'll 'lose respect' for Vardy just cause he's moving from Leicester need to get a grip the fucking spastics

He's what, 29? While he has less years of professional football on his body than most top players his age he's still up there in age, not surprising that he's taking what will probably be the only opportunity he'll ever get to join a top club.

I'm actually more surprised that a top club wants to sign him.

Yeah exactly. He's 30 in January and he has a chance to join a huge club, something that he probably thought was impossible four years ago.

He achieved something amazing at Leicester winning the league, the chances of that happening again are very low, imo leaving for Arsenal or any other big club at his time of life is a no brainer.

I'm surprised mostly that it's Arsenal that want him.

Vardy has excelled in a two forward counter attacking side. Arsenal play a lone forward and intricate possession football, which is completely against the grain with where Vardy's strength lie. Square peg in a round hole, unless Wenger has all of a sudden decided to change the way his team plays.

His goals last season had a bit of variety to them when you watch them back. We played our best football last season with fucking Theo up front who can't control a ball to save his life so I'm not really surprised.

Vardy to Arsenal is the least Arsenal thing ever.

Arsene sticking him on the wing seems pretty likely though

Vardy to Arsenal will all but end his career by Christmas. Good for him to get a pay day this late in his career though.

I'm not entirely convinced by it for Arsenal, but I was thinking about it earlier and for all the flaws he's a clear upgrade on Walcott. He's everything Walcott is supposed to be but a bit older, and a massive racist.

This is basically Arsene's last season and I think he's going all out for it. He's talked constantly about South American strikers for the past two years and I think a Sheffield Chav who was playing non-League not too long ago is the closest you're gonna get to a fighter mentality in England.

Also linked with Mkhitaryan, could be a front three of Alexis, Vardy & Mkhitaryan with Özil behind. If Vardy reaches 3/4 of the form he did last season he could get near 20 goals easy. Giroud contributing double digits and however many Alexis can get and there's enough firepower to win the League there.

I don't think that'll actually happen, but that's kind of my point. Wenger's clearly been clinging to the hope that Walcott will manage to have a season like that whilst moving between centre-forward and out wide, and Vardy offers a far more likely chance of that happening. Even if he's not a guarantee of success or a long-term signing, it's an obvious, affordable upgrade on the likes of Walcott who don't produce often enough.
